My wife and I cannot wait to return to this hotel - there is a sophisticated elegance that the Palace Elisabeth brings and it only added to our amazing time in Hvar. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the food is fantastic, and rooms are regal. While everyone was great to work with, the concierge Anja, made excellent recommendations and kept us up to speed on our ferry, as the weather was a bit rough the day we left. I highly recommend this hotel

Palace Elisabeth is the best hotel that we stayed at in Croatia, and is on par with what you would expect for "luxury" in London or New York. The staff were excellent, and very attentive, with turn down service, and pre-engagement of our needs. Each night we were rewarded with a new bedside treat, and there is no-charge minibar.

The room had a view of the adjacent square and the sea, and in spite of adjacent Friday night festivities was extremely quiet. The only complaint is that the curtains are not blackout and let in a lot of light. That was remedied by storm shutters on the juliet balcony, which not intended for that purpose performed very well.

The hotel is equipped with a semi-indoor pool with terrace overlooking the sea, a sauna, steam room, and spa treatments for an additional fee. There is an indoor/outdoor restaurant that serves an excellent included breakfast, but was oddly empty for dinner on the nights we were there.

One note for those balancing different accommodations in Hvar is that you do not need "beachfront" hotels. All beaches and waterfront in Croatia are by definition public, so there are no "private" beaches in the traditional sense. There are multiple excellent swimming areas within a 5-10 minute walk of the Palace Elisabeth, and you can ask the staff for beach towels and bags.

Beautiful and luxurious hotel in an excellent location. The food for breakfast (included) and dinner (extra) was actually really good. The facilities are all nice and new, including the pool. The staff are helpful and friendly, and they help you move your luggage to and from the ferry port. We had no issue with noise like the other reviews say, but the AC definitely didn’t get cold enough for how thick the duvet was. Unfortunately, we didn’t sleep great either night as a result.

Best place to stay in Hvar - location, luxurious and scenic.  Note:  the hotel swimming pool is indoors and COLD.  The breakfast is Ala carte and amazing.  Service in the restaurant is slow.  The servers priority was bussing tables rather than attending to guests.  Service of drinks on the terrace was miserably slow - 25 minutes to get 2 drinks.  Only 2 other people were on the terrace and they already had their drinks.  Front desk clerks were warm and welcoming.  The room was spacious and a/c worked very well.

Wow!  We loved everything about this spectacular property.  It is elegant,  refined, and classy yet relaxed and welcoming as well.  Our suite was beautiful.  The service was truly outstanding.  The bar is an elegant and quiet respite for a cocktail.  The food was exceptional.  And, the location is ideal.
