My stay here was very pleasant. Although from the outside I had my concerns on my inside the hostel is very modern. Lots of space in rooms, beds were very comfy, and use of kitchen was helpful. Only downside I guess was location, you’re about a 20 min walk into the heart of split and coming up that big hill to the hostel in the heat proved challenging.
Overall comfortable and definitely value for money, would stay again

Service was amazing. Definitely a higher end hostile. I felt very safe being able to keep all my belongings in a locker. Walking distance to the main town and almost anything you want to go to. I noticed for the most part everyone is a lot more private and it isn’t very social. Depending on what you are looking for this is an amazing place. It was very quiet and I was never woken up by other people.

Perfect location, only a 10-minute walk to old town Split and away from the noise of old town. The rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and modern. The beds had a private curtain, plug socket and secure locker with a digital PIN code lock.

All the dorms and entrance to the hostel were very secure with a PIN code needed to access. The hostel was located next to a Tommy Supermarket and a few nice restaurants, despite how the location looked we felt it was very safe even at night!

The staff are really friendly and helpful! There aren't a lot of activities organised by the hostel but we found that the hostel was still quite social.

Other perks: Hairdryers, Luggage storage, we were able to check in early.

I've been too time in this hostel. Both I stayed one night. It's a nice place, with a good atmosphere. Receptionist are friendly and helpful, they will explain to you everything when you arrive for your check in. The place is very clean. Good common areas, wide kitchen. The rooms are big, even if you have to stay in the 14 bed room you will have your own space, Bed is comfy and clean, with your own plug and light. I could sleep very well. Washrooms ate big also and they have two separate washrooms for women and men. Showers were good, and clean.

Despite what some reviews have said, my stay at En Route was really lovely. Don't let the pictures of the location scare you as it's only a 10-15 minute walk to the closest beach and to the center of Old Town and never felt unsafe. We would go out late at night and come back at 3/4am and never had any issues, as the walk back is quite nice through residential streets and no one loiters in the area of the hostel despite the looks of it.

This has also been the cleanest hostel I've stayed in! Lots of counter space in the bathrooms, paper towels (a plus in hostels), and hooks by every mirror and bed, which I appreciated. The showers are really spacious and I never had any issues with hot water, although there is nowhere to place your clothes (hooks would be useful).

The beds are the best part as they're quite spacious and kept clean and come with curtains that feels like a luxury to have in a hostel. You also don't feel your bunkmate moving in the bed above or below you, which is a huge plus as someone who's a light sleeper. Another con is the new locks on the lockers are really loud and can cause some issues, especially at night, but the lockers are really spacious and secure.

The hostel can have a social atmosphere depending on the vibe of the guests staying. It's easy to socialize as there's one big common area to hangout in, but you do need to put in the effort if you want to meet people!
