Not for me honestly, I was quite disappointed. I don’t leave many bad reviews but I do think this place is overrated and overpriced (even for Copenhagen standards).

I came in at a very busy lunch period and they said you need a reservation to sit. Since I was alone though they accommodated me which was really nice of them so it was off to a good start.

I sat down at a window stool and they explained only the set menu is available which was around €45 and included some starters and a burger. No fries includes so I ordered that separately as the reviews said they’re delicious and I also ordered their lager.

The starters were just not nice, I was embarrassed that I couldn’t finish any of them. One was a gelatinous onion and seaweed paste with sunflower seeds that I simply couldn’t stomach, though I know some people liked it. Then we got some cherry tomatoes which were quite simple and some potatoes with pumpkin shavings on it. None of these really did it for me but this wasn’t the main attraction so I moved on expecting the burger to be unreal.

Unfortunately my verdict is that it was okay. Just that. Nice quality meat, good bun, but very average flavour and honestly didn’t blow me away at all. Plus I’d say there was too much bread for the amount of meat. For €45 I thought it would be next level. To top it off they forgot my fries which I was a bit relieved about given I at least saved some money. Final bill came to about €55 and I left very unsatisfied.

There are better options right around the corner at the food market!

Absolutely the best cheeseburger I’ve ever tasted. The patty was perfectly cooked with a flawless pink center and seasoned to perfection. The sauce was an unexpected highlight—I usually skip sauces on my burgers, but this one was essential and elevated every bite. For those saying it’s overpriced, I disagree; you’re not just paying for a burger, you’re investing in an unforgettable culinary experience. Worth every penny!

The food was amazing. They had run out of the aged cheddar burger so we ordered the regular one with the truffles and it was amazing. Highly recommended. Also, the had told us they had run out of the dessert we wanted so we ordered another one. Then they informed us they still had one of the other desserts and gave it to us free of charge. Drinks were also great. Overall a great experience for our last night in Copenhagen.

We went there for lunch. The fries and sauce were really good but the burger was full of fat. We had the vegan version and the patty was super oily and on top of that the buns were soaked in quite a lot of fat and grilled a bit too long. Definitely had better burgers. And since the burger is the main event here I couldn’t give more than one star. Especially considering the pricing.

Really great experience at Popl. I had the fish burger with monkfish and it was great, fish was juicy, bun was soft and moist. It looked dry at first but once you bite into it, it is juicy and more than enough dressing.
The atmosphere is minimalistic and provides a great extension to the experience. Nice selection of drinks and very friendly and attentive staff.
