Copenhagen is filled with many incredible restaurants. Restaurant Barr just might be my favorite. Incredible experience and highly recommend.

Recently visited again with my family, and it was just as delightful. Trust the chefs and servers- go with the prix fixe courses.

From the decor, plating, and taste- everything is impeccable. Barr raises the bar on dining in Copenhagen, and that is no easy feat!

Lovely restaurant - the food, service, and atmosphere are alle great! Most of the waiters were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Always there, and lots of good recommendations. Almost all dishes were great - favorite was probably the tartar and shank. Only problem was that the portions were too big (!). The apple/kefir dessert was somewhat off: The ‘lid’ on top off it was so salty that it was borderline inedible. The other things in the dessert tasted great, though. The room is nice and cozy. I would say that comparing to other restaurants in Copenhagen, the food was a bit too pricy for what you get - you can get same level of food other places siginifcantly cheaper. No less, Barr is a great place to go for a very, very feel good- and comforting vibe

I had a very disappointing experience. I ordered the three-course menu with a pescatarian adaptation. The starter was a perfect representation of Nordic culture—great to try once, but not worth repeating. The main course was okay but a bit too salty. The dessert, however, was disappointing; the flavors were unbalanced between sugar and salt, resulting in an overwhelming experience for my stomach.

The wine selection by the glass was poor and unappealing. The option I chose from the limited selection was extremely mousy and evolved too quickly in the glass. I provided this feedback, but they charged me for the glass of wine anyway.

In conclusion, I feel that I totally wasted my money. It's disheartening when you choose from so many options, only to find that the experience is not even decent. There is much room for improvement if the restaurant wants to justify the cost of the experience.

We had an excellent experience here on a sunny July evening.

Clearly the Restaurant is busy, so we could only get a counter booking more than a week in advance. However, that gave us a direct view of the pristine kitchen, which was exciting.

The range of dishes is gratifyingly small, but you may want to plan ahead if you eat neither fish nor meat.

All dishes were memorable and special in their own way and evoked a definite sense of Danishness. The waffle (starter) and the dessert rolled crepe were standouts. As was the service, which was professional, exacting and personable.
