Had a beautiful lunch on a rainy Tuesday. The interior is beautifully designed with a bright and cozy interior. The menu is not overly complicated. Each bite of our lunch was divine. The few others enjoying lunch seemed to be local business people. I would imagine dinners to be busy with soft and warm light in the alcoves. The staff were knowledgeable and professional. We loved our dining experience and highlight recommend for a lovely Danish meal. This is a Michelin star I truly appreciate. As another reviewer said, not pretentious simply delicious.

Visited in October 2024. We had the fish menu for a very good price with vouchers from special.dk. The menu included a snack, an appetizer, bread, two starters, one main course, and dessert. The snack and the bread were excellent. Everything else was good, except the grilled trout starter, which was okay (the celery ice cream was delicious and saved an otherwise boring dish). The atmosphere was nice, I liked the venue and the decorations. Service was good, although at times I wished they would clear our plates quicker so we'd have more space on the table.
Overall, I think Koefoed is a nice place to experience food and drinks from Bornholm. I'm not very likely to return myself, since there are so many other interesting restaurants in Copenhagen, but I can recommend the place.

Koefoed is Michelin without being pretentious, with an atmosphere that’s welcoming and approachable and artistic presentation that made me slightly guilty to dismantle 😅

The food: I didn’t think I’d be a fan of herring, but I freaking loved it. I drool at the thought of having it again!

Now let’s talk about the bread and butter: the whipped butter was practically art, smeared to be enjoyed with warm, crispy fresh bread. Honestly, detail in this experience was thoughtful, from the beetroot (dehydrated, then rehydrated – who knew?) to the gravy, with a spicy kick that was so good it had me scraping the plate. Then dessert was a beautiful balance of earthy and sweet with bay leaf ice cream adding a savory twist to the apple. Left with a happy food baby 😂

One of our best meals ( food wise) in Copenhagen and we visit few times a year. Booked an earlybird.dk tasting menu for 930pm meal. Hostess who greeted us was NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL. However the waiting staff were all very friendly and welcoming so we forgot about the hostess with an attitude. Food was very very good. We thought it was on a par with Host and better than Norrlyst. Will definitely return

This will be a bit of a mixed review as this is only for the evening servings. While the lunch here is amongst the best in Copenhagen the evening was far from the standard expected. We had the 5 course dinner and while the food was ok ish the entire evening was a bit of a mess. When we arrived it took some time before we were seated and the waitress had little idea about the food and forgot several times to ask what we wanted to drink resulting in the first course being served without any wine. We had to ask several times for something to drink and the 5 course dinner was all served within little over an hour. Everything felt rushed and the staff was very inattentive or maybe too busy. Overall far from the good experience I have had when being here for lunch. I would give the evening experience 1 star but as the lunch is very good and the review must be fair I will give an overall review of 3 stars.
