We drove an hour each way from Tartu to dine at Kolm Sõsarat (Three Sisters) restaurant, and it was totally worth it. The backstory of the restaurant’s founding, the charming town, and the family history give this place a special touch you won’t find anywhere else. The menu was exquisitely prepared – I’ll never forget the egg dish. Definitely try the local gin from a Tartu distillery; it’s fantastic. The sisters were super kind, translating all the dishes into English and sharing their family stories. We even honey from their father’s hive as a final present, which we enjoyed through the rest of our trip with local Estonian teas. An unforgettable experience!

Transferring the small reservation fee from the US is not a viable option, but don’t let the stop you, just reach out to the sisters by email and they will be accommodating.
