Our stay at Fleur de Neige was truly exceptional. This gem of a hotel and its outstanding restaurant are absolute must-visits for anyone traveling to the area.

The hotel surpassed all our expectations, with rooms even more breathtaking than the pictures suggest. We were captivated by the stunning views and impressed by the impeccable attention to detail throughout the property. The spa and pool area offered a perfect retreat for relaxation, while the playground with swings, slide, and trampoline was a delightful surprise for families.

Dining at the restaurant was a culinary journey we won't soon forget. It's no wonder it's featured in the Michelin guide - the quality of the dishes is simply extraordinary. We savored the duck and lamb, and I must say, as someone who's quite particular about lamb, it was the most exquisite I've ever tasted. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill and passion.

We wholeheartedly recommend both staying and dining at Fleur de Neige. The experience is more than just a hotel stay; it's a celebration of comfort, luxury, and gastronomic excellence.

To top it all off, Châtel itself is a charming town that captured our hearts. Its quaint shops and diverse restaurants add to the overall enchanting experience of visiting this beautiful alpine destination.

We booked with much excitement to have dinner here for New Year’s Eve, we were promised a Michelin-level dining experience curated by the head chef and atmospheric way to ring in the new year, however this was not the case sadly and we left disappointed.

The meal was a 6-course tasting menu with a welcome glass of champagne. The meal was spread across 4 hours with no explanation of timings or what the food was (it was not explained in advance that the meal would last until after midnight). The food was average - the venison main course was tasty but small, the consommé was also nice but akin to bovril, the cheese mousse was so strong it burned our mouths, the dessert was inedible as the alcohol used did not burn off fully. The waiter lit the dessert with his cigarette lighter!

The welcome champagne was lovely, and the wine list was extensive and we chose a very nice bottle of Le Tour de By. At midnight there was no offer of a drink to toast the new year - and by that point our glasses were empty!

The atmosphere was bizarre, the music was club classics mixed with pop that blared out quite loudly. At midnight there was no celebration of the new year, the staff turned the lights off to present the flaming dessert however they keep turning the lights on and off. As soon as midnight struck, we along with several other groups got up and left, it was clear others were dissatisfied also.

The waiting staff were not very present, they appeared with each course but then were absent in between - they did not check on us or come to top up our water for example - I had to go to the bar myself to fill up the water jug twice.

The meal cost us c.€300 for 2 people including drinks (2 kir royale and a bottle of wine) and I would say it was not worth it and particularly disappointing way to celebrate New Year’s Eve. This was sold as Michelin-level fine dining and it was not that. We left very quickly at midnight to salvage the New Year’s Eve in a nearby bar.

I dined at the restaurant only. Best experience in the whole of Chatel. Food, service and view. So amazing. Really enjoyed it all, thank you. Highly recommend.

Lovely restaurant with great menu. The amuse was with pork, and the waitress did hesitate to change this into something vegetarian when we said we do not eat pork. For main course we choose the cheese fondue with salat. We got great wine recommendations to go with that. The brioche for dessert was lovely. The service is very friendly and correct. I would only recommend the staff to cough in elbow and not in hands when needed. Interior is nicely decorated. Next time I would try to have dinner in one of the iglo’s outside.

Wonderful stay here. Rooms felt comfortable and spacious and very centrally located.

The restaurant was fantastic. Lamb shank cooked to perfection, starter was morish and dessert I could have had all of them!

Highly recommend the hotel. And a big plus they cater well for children.
