We had an outstanding visit to Les Hauts De Loire and the service was impeccable! The castle, castle grounds, and our room was stunning. The staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable, from picking us up at the train station, to the welcome drinks, and having our bags carried to our room. We ordered room service from the bistro and the food was delicious. We also had bikes delivered to the castle from a local business so that we could ride around the area and visit some local wineries which was a lot of fun. We are unsure why some recent reviews of this castle are negative, clearly some people's expectations are extremely unreasonable. We highly recommend staying at Les Hauts De Loire and we plan on coming back for another visit!

Terrible first impression/service. I'm pretty suprised to see how many reviews mention the excellent service. We had planned a significant portion of our Loire stay around the culinary class that we reserved with the chef. We were told it was cancelled at 10pm the night before because there wasn't enough interest. When we offered to pay to make it a private, it was still a no as it was 10pm and the chef wouldn't be able to get the ingredients. We wouldn't have chosen to stay here as the location is inconvenient in proximity to the adjacent cities if we had known our class would be cancelled. It also would have been nice to know in advance so we could make other plans. Our experience with the rest of the property hasn't been great either - stark contrast from some of the other hotels we stayed at in the area - no tour given, no information about the property given, we had to ask reception about breakfast/where to go as we had no idea it was even included. The rooms are comfortable and large, the property is pretty, but it's an inconvenient location in relation to the nearby cities and the service has been very below average. Wouldn't stay here again when there are so many other options.

An unforgettable stay at Les Hauts de Loire!

My fiancé and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Les Hauts de Loire, and it was truly a magical experience. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty of the location.

Even though we arrived in the pouring rain, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us with our luggage. This level of service continued throughout our stay, making us feel truly pampered and cared for.

We especially want to commend Emily, who was an absolute star! She was incredibly attentive to our needs, answering all our questions and fulfilling our requests with a smile.  She even went out of her way to bring us a steam iron for my fiancé's dress – talk about going the extra mile!  Emily's exceptional service truly enhanced our stay and left a lasting impression.

Les Hauts de Loire provided the perfect backdrop for a romantic getaway. The beautiful surroundings combined with the outstanding service made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable experience.

We had an amazing anniversary lunch here and it was by far the best restaurant in the Loire valley during our holidays. We hope to come back one day and recommend to everyone.

What a beautiful stay! I will never forget the few nights we spent here. If you’re planning on visiting the Loire valley make sure you don’t miss out on this spot. Its design, rooms and outdoor areas are magical. You feel transported into another universe where everything is beautiful. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. The hotel went the extra mile and provided us with a picnic set for the day. I absolutely loved their breakfast. It was the highlight of my stay. From eggs, to pancakes, fresh jams and more. I will miss place and I’m excited to come back soon!!
