Beautiful meal and birthday dinner for a party of 6 including 2 children. The menu consisted of 3 entrees, 3 mains and 3 desserts. We enjoyed every dish served and found the wait staff to be very friendly and extremely proficient in English. There is no rushing you out the door so we took our time drinking and chatting. Would highly recommend a meal here.

The Menu has limited options. But those on the menu are all good.

The restaurant was extremely noisy, the food was okay, but not as good as we had been led to believe. The wine was corked, and was grudgingly replaced. As the replacement bottle was chilled, there was no initial corked smell, but as it warmed, it was clear that it was also off. We were just too fed up at this stage to complain again. I accept that the weather had been extremely hot, which wouldn't have helped, but at 36 euros à bottle, we were à bit put out.

We are holidaying ind France from New Zealand and while in Tours visiting the Chateau’s we came across Maison Colbert. We had a fabulous lunch from the €35 “formula” menu. Every dish was superb with the beef steak and the cheese cake and  dark chocolate soft center cake the  especially nice.

My favourite restaurant. Really fresh seasonal ingredients always cooked superbly. Imaginative deserts. Some of the dishes will not be out of place in a Michelin star restaurant.
Amazing staff always happy to help and to recommend excellent wines. Very happy to accommodate vegetarians.
Excellent value.
