Incredibly well-run establishment. The staff were attentive and delightful. The food was creative and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the octopus and Wagyu “noodle” bowl, the shellfish soup, and the barely-cooked scallop. But at the end of the day, I am a dessert person, and their chocolate grapefruit dessert might be the best dessert I’ve ever been served.

JY's was a great experience. Sitting in the middle of a beautiful park with exquisite metal animal sculptures throughout the restaurant set the tone. The presentation was incredible on each plate. I opted for the 6 course option with wine pairing. The highlights were the amuse bunch, especially the incredibly unique caeser salad, and the liquid nitrogen ice cream made table side. Overall I had a wonderful time however for a 2 Michelin starred restaurant I would have expected a little more especially from the middle courses of the menu. Would recommend.

Firstly, I was recommended the 6 course tasting menu upon arrival, and when I inquired about the 10 course (out of fear of potentially small portion sizes) I was told the 6 course menu would be enough. Normally, for those who know fine dining establishments, tasting menus may at times times leave you still a bit hungry at the end of the meal. But certainly not here! I was served multiple dishes within each course which made it seem like more than just 6 courses, and allowed to choose from a large selection of desserts on a cart when requesting for the bill free of charge. Each and every dish tasted spectacular. Whilst the foie gras on sushi rice dish is (deservedly) highly praised, the tart with homemade ice cream that my course ended with was out of this world. It tasted like a cheese platter (with grapes and savoury cheese) but had the appearance of a standard fruit tart - and the sweet ice-cream balanced out the saltiness. As for the staff, there is nothing to complain about - they acted exactly as one would hope for such a highly ranked restaurant, going above and beyond with their service at times by providing me with an extra dessert from the complimentary cart that they noticed I liked (the liquor candy is divine). I was also a solo diner and did not feel as though it affected my experience negatively in any way. This is definitely a restaurant I would come back to if given the chance.

Me and my family visited the restaurant, drawn by its prestigious two Michelin stars, and opted for the ten-course tasting menu. The food was undeniably delicious, especially the first few courses, which showcased a wonderful depth of flavor and the chef’s remarkable skill. However, by the fifth course, the dishes started to lose their charm, as many of the sauces had similar flavor profiles, which slightly diminished the overall experience.

On a positive note, I must commend the team’s exceptional attention to my gluten intolerance. They carefully adapted every dish to suit my dietary needs without compromising quality or taste, allowing me to enjoy the meal worry-free.

Despite minor shortcomings, the overall experience was pleasant and deserves recognition. We appreciate the team’s efforts and their meticulous care for their guests.
