Good Alsatian restaurant, surprisingly not a tourist trap considering that it’s located next to the canal, near to the bridge where everyone takes their photos. I would recommend outdoor seating since part of the appeal is its location. We had a good experience with food, wine, service and atmosphere.

We had an amazing experience at Wistub Brenner! Despite it being late at night, they welcomed us with such kindness and warmth. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was prepared to perfection. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. A huge thank you to the team for going above and beyond to make our visit special. Highly recommended 👍👍👍

Stumbled on this restaurant in Colmar when we couldn’t get a reservation at the first place we wanted to eat. Luck would have it, we had the best experience of our entire trip to the Alsace region. The staff were kind and welcoming and the food was delicious. I had the bests snails I’ve ever tasted. The ambience is charming and very cozy. There was a nice variety of options.  It is located near the river in the heart of the “Petite Venice”. I would recommend eating here to everyone!

Is it a tourist restaurant? Of course, it is right in the middle of one of the most touristy areas in Colmar (France?). I was well aware of that when I booked a table but then, I was a tourist myself.

First off: bookings are essential, at least during the high season on a sunny day. We saw dozens of people turned away whilst we were having lunch.

Seating the guests that did have a reservation took a while, as there was only one lady in charge of the procedure. After that, service was fast and efficient, no mean feat considering there were only 2 staff.

We chose the menu of ă starter and main course, with a choice of 4 or 5 dishes in each category. I did actually want to go for the full menu, including dessert, but I was too full after two courses. The price per person was EUR 37.90 which, considering the quality and location, seemed fair. EUR 6.70 for a bottle of water was a bit steep but again: tourist area.

My wife ordered the snails, and they were excellent. I had the breaded Munster with duckbreat which was also very good. My wife continued with the Arctic Char which she thought was a little boring, whilst I had Scottish roast beef, which was perfectly cooked and very tasty. We had to pay an additional EUR 2.00 for the smails and Char for being premium products.

It was great fun having a meal in the middle of Little Venice and the great food and service made it an exceptional experience.

We had an amazing wine paring dinner here just a few nights ago.  The sommelier provided great information about the wines we were drinking and also about the French wine region.
