This is a quirky space and a charming experience. I found the cafe visited by jazz musicians, louche boys reading books at the bar, young parents with infants, old couples, regulars, and maybe a tourist or two. It is small, intimate, and walking in for the first time gives you the sense that you know the place. This is soon followed by feeling like you made a good choice if you travel to find local color and flavor. 
I had a beer on my first visit on a Friday night. Perhaps it was more than one. Each order was recorded in a ledger at the end of the bar. On my second visit on the following Sunday, i had the charcuterie and red wine. My two meats and two cheeses -- I asked the bartender to pick -- were delicious and almost more than I could eat. I sat in a worn-out high backed chair and listened to American jazz from the trio behind me. They stopped playing too soon for my taste and the small place, crowded, thinned out quickly. Apparently the real Parisians had a new week ahead for which to prepare. This faux Paeisian was happy to linger and will be happy to return.

A friend of ours who lived in Paris recommended this spot when we came recently for a trip, and I'm so glad we spent time here. We got the last 2 seats at the bar on a Wednesday night. We had a wonderful meat & cheese board - leaving the specifics up to the bartender, she made a great assortment and then we later split a steak. The ambiance of the bar was lively yet laid back and the food was really great, an overall highlight of the trip.

Simply amazing experience- reservations recommended even if its an early dinner. We had the special. Thin sliced pork with butternut squash. There were parsnips in the mix and the plate was exceptional. Accompanied by a young burgundy - I would highly recommend this restaurant to any adventurous traveler.

Late at night, slightly raining, we stumbled across this place in Paris. Found two seats right at the bar and hopped on. Not being able to speak much French we were hesitant to ask for recommendations. However, the gentleman and lady tending to the evening were more than delightful. They seemed to have a decent selection of beers on tap (I am very picky when its comes to beers), while a mouth watering selection of planches to offer. 

Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed but the boards with different types of smoked meat and cheese that were already served or being munched by the already served guests looked absolutely delicious. Having enjoyed in other places, we truly regretted we were not able to try one of their boards.

My tip would be to go here (not very ideal for large groups) and enjoy the wines with a board of assortments. The ambiance in this place was just perfect and staff were just simply nice.

Les marcheurs de planete is an amazing place. All the wines are handpicked by the managers who will be very happy to guide you through the menu and help your selections. All their choices have a lot of character and every bottle is a new wonderful discovery. The ambiance of the bar is very friendly, your neighbors are very likely to start to chat with you if they like the conversation at your table! The food is classic - mainly charcuterie and cheese platter (plus some steaks etc...) - but all the products are of the highest quality and again handpicked by the managers.

There are only a few tables in this bar so you'll have to book if you want to eat there, but it's really worth it, you'll have a good time!

This is a fabulous restaurant! We went based on the previous reviews and we are glad we did.  Food was authentic and the best I've had in Paris so far.  Even better,  our waiter/ manager was very helpful with the menu since our French was not very good. He joked around with us and treated us with  mutual respect and kindness.  I highly recommend it!

Me and my girlfriend arrived to Paris late last night and stumbled in to this gorgeous little wine bar/restaurant. 
The staff was really helpful and the wine and food was amazing. We will come back here for sure and if you have the chance go try it out!

Les Marcheurs de Planete (or Resto Zinc) is a cozy, intimate place to drink wine in the Voltaire area. The proprietor Yann runs his bar with a genuine warmth, taking pride in his hand-picked selection of wines (in the summertime Corsican rosés are a hot seller). On Thursdays the resto hosts a sort of patriotic karaoke night where people can sing classic french songs to the accompaniment of a piano. Last time I was there I had the pleasure of seeing a japanese businessman's rendition of "Aicha". It was actually pretty spot-on! The planche gourmand (or big plate of meat and cheese) features the chef's choice of patés, charcuterie, cheeses, cornichons, fancy butter, salad, and baguette.

Arnold the owner is a really great person, takes care of everything and is too available for anything! The place is something rare, vintage old style. well cared, and his range of whiskey and cognac is amazing....recommend to all!
