For our last night in Paris, my wife and I thought that we would end our visit on a cultural note by having African cuisine. After doing an "around me" search, Osè African Cuisine - Saint Lazare came up as a number one contender. Since we were cozy in our hotel room, we decided to have it delivered via a food delivery app. We ordered the following: the Accras 9 (starter); and two identical "build your owns" consisting of the following: Riz Jollof (rice), Mafé, Émincé De Boeuf (beef), and double dose de piment (hot sauce). 

Forty minutes later our bag of deliciousness was delivered with the brown bag lightly saturated in oil (remember the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air episode when Will said that you can tell good food by the appearance of the bag?). The Accras X9 was a delicious preview of what would be an overall scrumptious dinner. Aside from being very satisfying, the portions were huge! Therefore, we were able to skip the inconvenience of finding breakfast the next day and eat our leftovers instead.

If you're looking for African cuisine to satisfy your loins, I highly recommend Osè African Cuisine - Saint Lazare!

It's nearly nine years since I had real African food. It's a small venue and probably only seats 20. Much like a chipotle chain of restaurants in the USA, you choose the type of rice you prefer, followed by a protein, sauce, and an extra carbohydrate. I chose jollof rice, chicken, mafa sauté, and plantains with a side of yellow colored hot sauce. It was great, but the rice got me so full. The spicy dish is something I needed to break up the French food routine. Located near saint lazare train station in Paris.

Simple, no frills place. Choose the size of your bowl, line it up with rice or manioc, add beef or chicken (bits or drumsticks) or vegetarian option, throw in some sauce and another layer of food, and pay. Then devour with an array of sauces. At first, the food is a bit bland, but then, properly mixed, it grows on you. Look, it ain't sophisticated French ooooh-la-la, but it fills you up and makes you feel pretty good afterwards. You're welcome.
