That's a good example of how service can kill the cook's result....I believe that all the waiters should have a bit of training on basic things like how to welcome the guests, how to open a bottle of wine and most of all how important is to give the right information. We asked the waitress if we were going to pay extra because the price of the menu was cheaper than the price of the main course itself, and the answer was no, everything is included in the price of 39 euros. In the end, we had an extra amount of money that we had to pay in the bill ( a plus 22E in total ), as you can see on the receipt. The sound of the wine corks in all over the restaurant was embarrassing, and the fact also that they almost put the corks inside their noses after opening every bottle. I could also suggest that they should show the label to the client  before.
The atmosphere had some issues that made our visit unpleasant as well. A heavy smell of mold in all over the building can be understood if you consider the fact that the building is so old, but I think that is too much for a restaurant. Our clothes also brought that smell from the sale to our house.
Although it could be a four star review because the kitchen almost saved our night with this pate en croutte and of course this amazing cassoulet...bravo!!! 👏
I was a little bit more disappointed also from the kitchen because the deserts that looked great were tasty but not fresh at all.

One of the best restaurant I’ve tried. The lunch set is just €29 for 2 course which is quite affordable in Paris. Highly recommend the risotto with tiger prawn, the favour is well-balanced and the foam add a special texture to the mouth. The Mille-feuille is simply amazing and a must have.

Went for dinner and had the fixed menu with 3 dishes. Had the cheese plate in the beginning - it was very good. Steak as main entree was probably not a good choice. Others likes their dishes. Wine list is large and the server was helpful with picking out bottles.

This is one of my favorite spots in Paris! The food is amazing while also being extremely affordable. We wanted to find something authentic during our stay, and this was it!

Our escargot was yummy, and the salad was nice. For mains we got a stew as well as the lamb with au gratin and everything was spectacular. I am a big fan of Mille-feuille and this was the best I’ve had in my life.

The vibe inside was really quaint and just a fun place to be.

My only note is that it is a bit cramped in the restaurant so I felt like I needed to be squished to the table to allow room for other guests to get past.

The forth time in this place and I have yet to finish the cassoulet (the portion is enormous).

I enjoy this rustic restaurant a lot. Great ambience and superb food.

In my opinion, the cassoulet last night was not as good as what I used to have (still a great dish after all). First time ordering the sweetbread and it was done exceptionally well.

I will get back to training and be back to finish the cassoulet someday!
