Wonderful food! I would absolutely come back here! It's a set menu, and everything is incredible with rather large portions.
Very welcoming place and each dish is explained to you in detail. I was given a lovely wine pairing for the meal.

TLDR too hot for the wine.

This is my 3rd time here, twice before COVID, so for nostalgic reasons I wanted to come back.

Food was nice and tasty, and the staff was jovial and friendly in an energetic way.

I also do very much appreciate the concept of a wine shop where you can buy and drink a bottle with minimal mark up. HOWEVER, the dining room where most of the wine is stored is too hot. It was warm inside even though I was in a t-shirt. And when I tasted the wine right after opening, it was too warm. If it was stored in a cool cellar I'd expect it to be cool to the tongue upon first tasting but no this was way too warm. It tasted almost body temp. Decanting it took the edgy tannins off quickly but the wine was flat from beginning to finish. I've had this wine before in proper condition and I know that's not how it was suppose to taste like.

I'm a fan of the food, the staff, the concept, and I love it for nostalgic reasons, but the wine sold to customers and diners really need to be stored separately.

Maybe just have empty display bottled in the main dining room but have actual bottles in the cellar?

I would like to come back but if I do and the wine is still stored in the main dining room then I won't get any wine, and if I don't get wine then that defeats a main purpose of the whole concept.

This is the place I always go when I am in Paris. No menu, you eat what they serve. 4 course meal. They will have alternate if you dont like what they serve. You won't be disappointed. Food is excellent and price is excellent price point.

I was warmly welcomed by the staff, and they explained to me that they are only serving daily set menu for 45 euro. I knew that as it's also written in front of the restaurant. I chose the place based on the good reviews, and the place is really great !!! The set menu was super delicious and the atmosphere is so nice!!! I highly recommend it.

My husband took us + kids for dinner here on our first night in Paris and we loved it so much we returned for lunch a few days later. The food is gorgeous, the service is perfect and friendly and the restaurant itself is beautiful upscale-casual. The house wines are fantastic as well. I highly recommend Les Papilles for anyone who wants a beautiful authentically Parisian meal.
