Excellent experience the food is executed beautifully and menu is full of choices for every taste. The wine paring was very interesting and makes you discover unique wines. The atmosphere is a combination between very sophisticated in the dining room and very swanky vibe at the bar this makes Gaya very appealing for formal and less formal occasions.
One improvement point for me would be to have preset menu not just a la carte menu.

Almost everything was perfect, I loved my main and dessert, the wine choices were phenomenal and my girlfriend adored every course, I couldn't stand my starter (cold Jelly and fish for €48? No thank you), thankfully the rest was divine and the evening was wonderful

Very underwhelming experience. Staff is nice but something as basic as taking away an empty cocktail glass took nearly 20 mins and was done after we asked for it. Food is OK, we expected much better quality for the price. 5 prawns with green beans, a couple of edible flowers and tomato sauce was around €60. I would have no problem paying that for a dish if it was not so basic in preparation. Fish for the same price had only onions on it paired with some sauce. Again, it was tasty, but it was definitely not the level of food we expected.

Incredible service, experience, and food. We had an amazing seafood experience for starters with some champagne and hope made bread with brown butter. Following, we had scallops, sea bass, and shrimp. WOW is all I can state. My favorite was the shrimp, it was incredible, slow cooked. Some amazing vanilla ice cream dessert and some apple pie. Forget about the fish! Judge on the results

It’s a fish restaurant. But you should not care. Yes you should, but you really should not. You should care because you’ll have great fish and seafood dishes. I had sea urchin in a way in never had before. And this why you really should not care. Because the chef manages his dishes in a way that you forget it’s seafood or fish. It’s just great cuisine. I do think that the fact that it’s marketed as a seafood restaurant does not do it justice. Of course it is seafood. But it’s not the point.
Actually, the setting is perfectly adequate. Exterior: a deep blue and white. Interior: leather, club chairs, wood, bottles and magnificent black and white dedicated pictures everywhere (I could come back just for that!). Basically outside it does say sea but inside it’s more “paquebot” or luxurious yacht where you forget you’re in the middle of the ocean. You’re just surrounded by other wealthy passagers. Speaking of which, the lunch menu is of great value.
Interestingly you could spot the part of the staff who must have worked at the main restaurant and the one that did not. Nothing wrong there. But the one who must have worked in a 3 stars were obviously a notch above the rest.
You guess it. I had a very pleasant time and my guest too.

Update 2022: Came back a year after. Very consistent. I may admit that I preferred the first time but I would not account on the kitchen, more on the normal variations, as the lunch menu changes regularly. I always forget that the restaurant is a fish/seafood one, but I remember that I’m in a 3 stars chef one star restaurant. And It is still a very solid one star.
