This is a very traditional French brasserie opposite the Hotel de Sully and five minutes from the Bastille metro and the Place des Vosges. On our Saturday lunch visit there were several families and a steady stream of regulars coming and going.

My partner and I wanted something simple and light so both opted for omelette and frites which came with a small salad garnish. Both omelettes (one cheese and one ham) were perfect, though the ham was processed. 

But for €20 each with drinks it was perfectly acceptable. Tap water and a generous basket of fresh bread were provided without asking. I noticed the regulars were having the special, stewed Osso buco served with tagliatelle - all polished off completely.

The waiter was friendly and helpful - we experienced none of the problems mentioned by other reviewers.

Cons: very expensive and service fees to sit. The cocoa wasn't very tasty.

$15USD (13€) for a cup of hot chocolate and small bottle of Perrier water. We surmise possibly $5-7 in service fees for sitting down? We sat down for about 15 minutes around 9am and there weren't other patrons -but when walked by each night, it seemed to be a popular spot. It has beautiful ambience at night with warmly-lit lamps. We didn't return due to the price. The hot chocolate wasn't very deep in flavor or color. It was very pale and tasted like powdered mix -I was envisioning better for the price point.

A cute little restaurant where we stopped to try some French cuisine. The menu didn't really stand out, but the salad was good--nothing extraordinary, though. I ended up ordering the burger, as nothing else quite fit the mood at the time. Since it was late and most other places were closed, we appreciated that they were open and had a cozy, homey feel. Worth a try if you're in the area late and looking for a comfortable spot.

Located quite close to our hotel (Hotel De Neuve https://www.yelp.com/biz/h%C3%B4tel-de-neuve-paris-6) which was the primary reason we chose this bistro our first (rainy) morning in Paris. 

Our typical breakfast in Paris was cafe (espresso) and croissants, and La Fontaine Sully does a solid job providing both for under €4. They also offer more substantial food options, including tartines (toasts) and omelettes. 

We returned again on our last morning in this particular part of the city.

My friends and I went to La Fontaine Sully for brunch, and got their pre-fixed meal that included, chocolate croissants, bread, eggs, bacon, a side salad, fruit and yogurt, coffee, and juice for 18 euro. The service was good and the food was very tasty! There was a lot of food for the price and it was all fresh.  I would definitely return again for Brunch!

Excellent service, delicious drinks (mojito and beer special), our best French onion soup so far in Paris, excellent burgers and fish sandwich. Thank you for an excellent meal.

My husband, a couple of friends and I were staying in Le Marais and had decided to walk to the much raved about Le Disdon. Upon our arrival it was closed, so we walked around the corner to what looked like a cute brasserie.

I just have to say that I have never had a worse meal in our life. To start with, the bread was stale and the calamari looked more like onion rings. Not to mention the server was rude.

My husband and one friend ordered the chicken. It was dry, hard, and definitely not fresh. Myself and another friend ordered the steak which again was dry, hard, and literally tasted like nothing.

Each meal came with a salad that had come from a bag and was wilting, and French fries that were not completely cooked.  I don't know how you manage to mess up French fries, but they did.

Needless to say, no one even came close to finishing their meal, and there was no tip. We would have had a better experience at McDonalds.

The Fontaine Sully is a solid brasserie in the Marais district. It's not the most "upscale" place for those looking for a big night out... but if you want a good French meal at decent prices, this place fits the bill. We had a nice dinner - the Confit de Canard was very tasty. The waiter even made a "quack, quack" noise to make sure I knew what I was ordering in my very poor attempt at speaking French. It was a light-heated atmosphere and friendly patrons surrounding us.

This place was horribly rude. We sat down to order sorbets and had our own water. We were told to leave. Absolutely the worst service. Other folks sitting with just a coffee and no problem. Seriously RUDE staff and not worth the trouble.   If I could give zero stars I'd would.

Nice , nothing compare to America's restaurants but still good cuz it's open late hours
