One of the highlight dinners of our visit to France. Small Town, cozy outdoor patio and superbly executed menu: there  wasn't a single dish we didn't like. Get the cheese pairing, you won't regret it. Worth the detour, that's for sure!

We have rarely experienced the heavenly flavours of the many culinary specialities from the Perigord in the Dordogne region so well. This can almost be considered a culinary highlight on the Santiago de Compostela route in the small village of Saint Avit Seigneur.

We had made a reservation in advance for a nice group of people, upon arrival the long table was neatly set on the terrace covered by plane trees. The service is very friendly, but also helpful, a particularly friendly lady, perhaps the owner, smiles time and again when hearing everyone's choice. We now know why she smiles, simply because every dish that comes out of the kitchen is a jewel to behold and cannot easily be surpassed in taste elsewhere. From amuse to dessert, every dish appeared on the table with the right timing. The price is slightly more expensive than average but it is absolutely worth it.

Like many of the best places is Dordogne, chances are you are within driving distance of a fantastic eatery.  Tucked away into an enchanting hamlet is le Table de Leo. Fortunately our landlady referred us and we were able to book a table.  Downstairs was completely filed with  a couple of large parties which allowed us to be the first seated upstairs.  Calm, cozy and with windows wide open we observed the end of day activities of local villagers and children winding down for the day in the evening dusk.  Our meal was wonderfully prepared, served and heartily devoured.  Definitely book a table for this delightful establishment!!!

Wow what a lovely little village and the setting is stunningly French. The ambiance was excellent and the service from both waitresses was top class. Nothing was to much trouble in help us translat the menu. The food was excellent quality and good size potions. Presetation top class.
