We have been visiting the 1-star Michelin gourmet restaurant at least 30 times the past 20 years. In our opinion it is probably the best restaurant in entire South West of France. The food produced by chef Vincent Arnould is tasteful, creative albeit traditional and it is ALWAYS of extremely high quality. This time we had the lunch “tapas”. A master piece. No less. And absolutely top top service. Highly recommend

Le Vieux Logis more than deserves its Michelin star (hopefully more!). Both the "Caprice" and "Tapas" menus are a delight and the setting in the courtyard is magical at summertime. The cuisine is always refined and memorable. No wonder Henry Miller was so inspired by these surroundings - they are truly special.

A simply perfect hotel.  Delicious food, great location and remarkable staff.  Our room was a small suite, very nicely decorated with great attention to detail and comfort.  The staff went out of their way to make sure we were well cared for, including daily  tailor made itineraries for us to explore the lovely countryside.  The dining room is beautifully decorated with high ceiling and floods of light.  The excellent bar area with wood burning fireplace and comfy leather arm chairs is a difficult place
to leave.  All in all, a remarkable place.

This is my favorite hotel  The restaurant has a Michelin star. The rooms are fabulous and fun but the main thing is the people. I never anyone my name room number. They just knew. They were incredibly smart and attentive. The grounds are well designed. The little town is fabulous and walkable. It is a magnificent area.  It truly is my favorite small hotel.

Le Vieux Logis is a gem that is nestled within the charming little town of Tremolat. We found it to be a perfect location for exploring the beautiful Dordogne region and a place that we were very happy to come back to each day to enjoy the grounds and town.  The staff at the front desk were always friendly and would help us map out our daily itinerary, with great suggestions on what to do and see.  We had an amazing gastronomic dinner that was served in the lovely outdoor garden.  We stayed in a suite which was excellent.
We loved our stay here and if/when we return to this part of France, will definitely stay here again.
