Amazing restaurant hidden in a historic street. The host, the chef and the team are truly outstanding, warm and welcoming. The food and wine list are exquisite. We were grateful to be accommodated without a reservation, could not recommend this outstanding place enough!

It is for good reason that this restaurant is my FAVOURITE in all the world. Forget the snobby Michelin star places, Le Tertre is every bit as good... If not better! English is no problem, and there is wifi available too.
The food is outstanding. I love the flavours, the colours and the combinations. Chef Julien Elles is a Master of note. The menu changes regularly, depending on availability, so you KNOW, everything us fresh, and freshly made.
Katherine, who runs the front of house, is knowledgeable about wines, and can advise the best pairing for your meal. We had a glass of sweet wine with our dessert that was *magnificent*! It complimented the flavours perfectly, and was a real eye-opener for us.
If you go to St Emilion, and you don't go to Le Tertre, you will have missed a fantastic opportunity to experience excellent cuisine in a fantastic setting.
Note: Make sure you reserve your place WELL in advance, especially if you will be visiting in the height of summer. It is a small restaurant and is extremely popular. A walk in for a group is unlikely to be possible. Secure your place, and have peace of mind that you will not miss one if the 'must do' experiences of St Emilion.

Wonderful food, good service, and the wine was well paired. They take pride in their food and service and it shows. It was one of the first meals in Saint Emilion that felt “right.”
