The restaurant is located in a splendid historic building. Staff was friendly but new on the job and given the setting surprisingly poorly trained. We had the flagship dish "Salt crust chicken for 4 people" only available on pre-order.  The food  was pleasant but the presentation lacked attention to detail. Overall an average dining experience in an exceptional setting, but not aligned with the above average pricing.

We dropped in on the off chance, and could not believe our luck. Puymirol may be off the beaten track, but to find this culinary quality, ambiance and level of service (on a par with many starred restaurants around the world)     is truly one of those super special moments. Christopher, Jordan and Julien provided us with the most fantastic  dining experience - a combination of stellar flavours and exceptionally friendly and professional service. Possibly the most amazing value in France.. The house wines BTW are way above what might be expected at such a reasonable price point. Well worth a detour. Perhaps for more than a meal!
