The restaurant is exceptional, service is good, food tasty and creative, wine list expansive, locale can't be beat...and the owners and staff are friendly.  One of the top restaurants in France.

Great service and fantastic food.
It’s also open in august which is great! (Usually in Europe it’s difficult to find a restaurant which is open in Aug)

The two fixed menus take the best of local produce: asparagus, river salmon, poultry and lamb from the hillsides around the valley. Sauces are light but packed with fresh flavours, dishes are beautifully presented with wild leaves and flowers. A plentiful cheese trolley showcases the best cow, sheep and goat's milk from the area. Deserts are exquisite, with distinctive touches - Szechuan pepper in a chocolate ice. A feast for the eyes and palate.

Menus from € 30s to  90s, all very good value. Belcastel lovely to walk around, can be very busy in Summer.
