Thank you so much for what must rank as the best meal of our lives! It was an evening that will live long on the tastebuds and even longer in the heart. Our terrible grasp of French didn’t stop us from recognising your passion for the area and the produce and the people that so obviously inform the magic of the experience you have created. It never felt pretentious or overly flamboyant just absolutely sincere. And absolutely delicious. We’ve been talking about the experience all day and I suspect will continue to for many months to come! Thank you for caring so much and compromising so little. We live in New Zealand but will definitely return!

Loved, loved, loved the whole extraordinary experience. My only small criticism is that the New Zealand Chardonnay that was served seemed totally out of place and unpleasant in comparison to the rest of the wonderful wines. Anna and Thomas, what you are doing is amazing

Incredible experience surrounded by beauty both in the masterpieces presented to us throughout the evening as our meal and in the idyllic setting of the restaurant tucked perfectly into the hillside forest. My husband and I deemed every course the best thing we had ever put into our mouths, flavors never experienced before with perfectly paired wines. Thank you Anne and Thomas for an incredible experience!

An exceptional culinary experience.
The restaurant is a 14 seat chef’s table in a modern kitchen housed in a French villa. Our menu was a 15 course tasting paired with 5 wines. All of the food ingredients were locally sourced. The individual dishes were amazing in creativity, taste and presentation. The owners/ chefs discussed the ingredients, sources and preparation as we ate through the menu. It was quite fascinating to learn how they created these amazing dishes from some uncommon ingredients found in the Tarn valley. The wines were very nice but the thing that really sets Pinewood apart is the magic in the pairings. It was apparent that the dishes were created with the wines in mind and it really showed in how some of food flavors and smells really popped with the paired wine. A very special place.
