The salad had been prepped too long beforehand: the leaves had brown edges and the tomatoes had lost their flavour from being refrigerated. Service was very minimal even though we were the only people there. We had to top up our own glasses. The mains were good. We left without having a dessert due to slow service even though it was a special wedding anniversary. Michelin stars are for consistent excellence. This restaurant didn’t bother on the day we were there.

Wir haben einen wundervollen Abend im Seesteg verbracht. Wir hatten bei herrlichen Wetter ein super Tisch am offenen  Fenster. Wir haben uns für das 6 Gang Menü entschieden. Alles war super stimmig. Das Essen war wirklich Top. Alles gut abgeschmeckt und miteinander angepasst. Es war wundervoll angerichtet. Die Portionen waren nicht klein und mini- wir fanden Sie perfekt so. Es gab zwischendurch nochmal ein kleinen Gruß aus der Küche was wir sehr aufmerksam fanden. Der Service war super, alle Gänge wurden toll vorgestellt. Wir wurden toll versorgt. Wir hatten ein wunderschönen Abend mit tollen Ambiente und würden definitiv wieder kommen.

We spent a wonderful evening at the Seesteg. We had a great table by the open window in wonderful weather. We decided on the 6 course menu. Everything was super harmonious. The food was really top. Everything was well seasoned and adjusted to each other. It was wonderfully prepared. The portions were not small and mini - we found them perfect that way. In between there was another small greeting from the kitchen, which we found very attentive. The service was great, all courses were well presented. We were well looked after. We had a wonderful evening with a great atmosphere and would definitely come back.

Wir waren Sonntag dort und total begeistert. Vorweg gab es selbstgebackenes Traubennuss und Milchbrot mit selbstgemachter Salzbutter. Danach den Gruß aus der Küche, ein Pilzragout mit Möhrenpesto auf einer Kiwischeibe. Hauptgang war das Filetsteak vom Angusrind mit Pommes und Sauce Bernaise. Dazu eine Flasche Rotwein. Als Dessert Creme Brûlèe mit Mangomus und Schokoeis.
Der Service ist super und freundlich und der Blick in die Küche immer ein kleines Highlight. Alles in allem ein schöner Abend.

We were there on Sunday and absolutely loved it. First of all there was homemade grape nut and milk bread with homemade salted butter. Then greetings from the kitchen, a mushroom ragout with carrot pesto on a kiwi slice. The main course was the Angus fillet steak with fries and Bernaise sauce. Plus a bottle of red wine. For dessert, crème brûlèe with mango puree and chocolate ice cream.
The service is great and friendly and the view into the kitchen is always a little highlight. All in all a nice evening.

In diesem Restaurant passt alles bestens. Sehr guter Service, tolles Essen und eine sehr schöne Terrasse. Wir kommen immer wieder hier her, wenn wir auf Norderney sind.

Vielleicht könnte man noch kippbare Sonnenschirme aufstellen, dann wird es blendfreier.
