Excellent 6 courses menu, superb wine, outstanding service! It is like heaven. They deserve the Michelin star and all the other awards. They also served additional small sub-courses in between.

To celebrate birthday we went out to try the “Falconera” restaurant, which is located close by Schienen in the Lake Constance region. You can get there easily by car from Radolfzell or Öhningen (Swiss border).
The location is an old German timber-framed house.

As soon as you have been guided to you table you’ll recognize this as a special and high quality location.
The staff is very helpful, friendly and professional. There were many details, which we take as a sign of good service and they have been totally satisfied, e.g. serving from the right side, cleaning the table between dishes, a taste nip of wine before they fill up the glass, and so on…

Starter: Home-baked baguette with salted butter and pesto vergine.

Then, as a kitchen’s greeting, we got a shrimp on pearl barley (yellow like cooked with safran or turmeric).

Our next course was a spring salad (2x carottes, red cabbage, white cabbage and radish).

There was also a mixed portion of different green salads served in a basked made of honey/sugar and sesame and some wild flowers

As main course we had a duck nantese (glaced, spiced with Cumin, fenugreek in two dishes: first the breast with polenta, beluga lentils, fried artichoke and red onions, second the leg on potato salad and bacon)

After the main course we got surprised with a small present: crème brulee (tonka bean) with fresh strawberries

As dessert we had a mousse and parfait made of 70% Belgian chocolate with ice cream (strawberry, but others are possible) and wine berry crumble

To sweeten the bill 😊 fried balls of quark and yeast dough were served

The quality of used products was high (many of them regional) and the dinner itself was amazing. So many interesting tastes combined to a fabulous meal.

We definitely recommend the Falconera and be right back for special occasions.

The food is Good. It's what you would expect from a Michelin Star but the Chef needs to be mentioned especially for his super friendly and welcoming behaviour. I had an absolutely lovely evening!

Picked the vegetable menu simply because it looked the most interesting. Every dish significantly exceeded my high expectations. Each dish was as interesting as it was creative, and the taste is out of this world.
