At the time we went there it was very busy, but still we were seated quickly and the service was in a very reasonable time. The waitress was very friendly, even though it seemed to be very stressful. The food was excellent and the portions very big. We had riesen Currywurst with Pommes, Spanferkel Braten and Filet Teller. We can recommend all of it. The side Salad was fresh and delicious. The prices are very good for what you get..we spend 65€ with large drinks.

Good place to eat. Big portion size. My wife even requested the senior portion.
I have eaten here twice. It was recommend by the hotel we where staying in. The good thing is no need to reserve. There could be a waiting line outside but it does not take long to get a table. There is a lot of space inside.

Nice old Gasthof (500+ years old!). I stop there for a quick lunch before a business meeting. Nice location, nice staff. Please consider they do not accept credit cards.

Great lunch and happy this place was open.

Fantastic pork knuckle and pork steak. Pork knuckle was crunchy on the outside and juicy inside.  I was expecting fried pork steak (like schnitzel) but this was a pleasant surprise. Good flavor and good sauce. Noodles were also great with the sauce.

If I wasn't driving, I would've loved to grab some beers but had to move on.

This place was a great choice! Stopped after a hike up a nearby mountain. Food and service was great. It you have been around since 1495 you must be doing everything right! Keep in mind they did not accept credit cards in 1495 and they have held on to that tradition to this day.
