We were very excited about this restaurant, however the flavor and the way or the food was processed did not surprise us.
Except for that, It is a nice seafood based fine dining restaurant!
The food portion was actually not small and you could taste that the seafood is fresh.
The appetizer Red Shrimp tartar and the cuttlefish risotto were fabulous. The tartar tasted unique and the fruity sauce brings out the flavors of the shrimp. As main dish, the risotto portion was like a normal portion, so it’s perfect, you won’t be hungry after going out from here. You see squid risotto with ink probably everywhere, but this one here , you can taste the cuttlefish in every bite and somehow I can still remember the taste.

Michelin star is well deserved. We had a very enjoyable night out. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We had the 12 course tasting menu with wine pairing and all of the food was fresh and well prepared. Each wine and course was explained well and the combinations complemented each other Beautiful restaurant with a wonderful view. Would definitely recommend and was the highlight of our trip to Athens.

Very nice experience at Varoulko seaside.
We got a table with a sea view that makes everything much better.
It was a quiet day at the restaurant so the service was very good and they had a lot of time to explain everything.
We took a few starters for sharing.
The fish soup was good, the oysters were great!
All the other dishes were very good, especially the salad with shrimps.
The highlights were the shrimp tartar and the crab dish.
The lemon pie dessert was good as well.
Overall, it is good value for money.

A nice taxi driver suggested this restaurant and I’m so glad he did. Lovely experience. I felt very lucky to be an Athens with their amazing view by the seaside. The wait staff were very excellent with their suggestions and guiding me on what to order for food and wine.

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The ambiance was elegant yet inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. We indulged in a magnificent 12-course meal, each dish paired with one of 10 exceptional wines. The food was so exquisite that it moved me to tears. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the art of taste in ways I could never have imagined. The pairing of wines with these unbelievable courses elevated the experience to another level, each sip complementing the flavors perfectly.

The service was equally outstanding—welcoming, friendly, and caring. The staff was great, making us feel right at home. Each bottle of wine we tasted was well explained in detail, adding to our appreciation of the pairing and enhancing the overall experience.

Varoulko didn't just meet my expectations; it surpassed them in every possible way. This dining experience was a revelation, truly the best I have ever had. If you find yourself in Greece, a visit to Varoulko is an absolute must.
