For us it's the most beautiful place in Budapest which is a very beautiful city. It's free unless you want to walk up the wall and it's simply breathtaking. We choose to climb the hill by foot which took about 10 minutes (the stairs begin directly after the bridge, just right side of the funicular) which I highly recommend as it's a lovely walk with a beautiful view to the river and city center. It's the first time we went up by foot and we were glad we did. Make sure to visit while in Budapest

A magical place! The incredible architecture is truly awe-inspiring! It’s best to visit at sunrise—not only will there be fewer tourists, allowing you to take photos, but it also looks especially beautiful in the morning sunlight!

Paying to enter the prime photo section of Fisherman’s Bastion isn’t essential, but is worth it for the slightly better angle you get on the classic Budapest River scenery.
Even on a busy day there were plenty of places to capture the perfect picture of the Parliament, the Chain Bridge and the river.
The other great spot for photos is on the terrace in front of the Palace, which is free, and gets you a close up view of the Bridge.

Very decent and organized place with amazing view and spectacular architecture! If you come before 9 am or in the late evening, you have the free access to the higher floor of the castle for having a better view. Many people are usually here for taking photos. Recommend taking the bus and walk a bit up, instead of walking from the lowest point! The entire place is free access and you may enjoy the food with great view in one of the restaurants there!

One of the must visit places in Budapest to have a great view of the City, the Parliament, the Danube and the bridge. It is a member of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. The Bastion was built in 1851. The original walls were built in the beginning of the 18th Century. If you’re in Budapest it’s a must to visit this place.
