This is my favorite restaurant in Budapest. The entire staff is attentive and nice. The food is fantastic. I’ll keep going back just for the bread and butter course.

It’s definitely worth add the local wine tasting. Hungarian wines are fantastic.

Today I had the pleasure of dining at rhe fantastic Mak restaurant, and I can honestly say it was one of the best culinary experiences I’ve ever had. The highlight of the meal was the signature carrot dish, which was nothing short of extraordinary—truly the best thing I’ve ever tasted. The flavors were incredibly unique, offering a whole new taste experience that left me in awe.

I opted for the vegetarian menu, and each course was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. Pairing the dishes with local Hungarian wines was the perfect complement, enhancing the overall experience. The wine choices were exceptional, with each sip adding another layer to the meal’s richness.

This dining experience was a delightful journey through flavors, and I cannot recommend it enough. If you’re looking for something truly special, this is the place to go.

My mom and I are halfway through the five course menu with wine pairings and I couldn't wait. We came here for the first time in 2017 and knew that we must come back. The food, wine , service, everything is meant to entice all your senses and leave you wanting more. Which you will. After two weeks in Budapest and Vienna this is how we chose to spend our final night. They don’t deserve just one Michelin Star but two or three Michelin Stars!!! Do not miss this restaurant.

Live update… we just got the fourth course. It is duck breast, celery, and pine. Not what you would typically expect, but the flavors somehow combine into a perfect medley of flavor, texture, and taste.

Okay friends, let's keep this going!!! dessert has been served. Not sure how to pronounce, but it’s got apricot, crackling, and walnut. Mak is such a once in a lifetime experience you cannot miss it. even the bathroom smells delicious.

Visited this place as a part of a National restaurant week. It was amazing! The service was extremely good, and each dish was well described by the staff. Staff was friendly and seemed to be professional. The food was truly special and delicious. The portions were small as in all other Michelin-starred restaurants, but all together, it was fulfilling. As a pregnant woman, I was glad to know they have 0,0% alcohol wine from sauvignon blanc.
We felt warm welcomed at MAK and definitely will come back to celebrate some special occasion there. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic night at MAK. The service was very welcoming, the food was exciting and delicious. Just the dessert was not too satisfying for a sweet tooth. From our experience, we recommend going for the wine pairing.
