Great Stay for Our Needs, and great location!
We stayed at this hotel as a group of four girls, each with a large suitcase, and it was perfect for our situation. The hotel had an elevator, which was a must for us, and it made our stay so much more convenient.

We rented a car, so having parking was essential. The parking lot in the back was small, with fewer than 10 spaces, but since we only stayed one night, we had no issue finding a spot.

The hot breakfast in the morning was a nice touch, especially during winter when it was still dark at 10 am. It was a cozy and comforting way to start the day.

The staff were wonderful—warm, friendly, and welcoming, which made our experience even better.

The only downside was the small size of the bathroom and shower, which felt cramped. No sulfur smell with the water. Drank straight from the tap. Location and everything else about our stay were great.

Overall, we’d recommend this hotel, especially if you value convenience, friendly service, and a good breakfast!

We are so happy with our stay at the hotel. Excellent service, staff are very friendly and helpful particularly the young guy and his male.manager.  the restaurant manager and all his staff are great and friendly. Couldn't ask for more. Location is perfect, near bus stops, shops, groceries, eateries and places to visit. 10 mins walk to the seaport and everything. I will book again here when I go back to Iceland and will recommend to my friends.

Nightmare night: non-existent security!

The only positive points: excellent breakfast and modern and comfortable room.

My wife and I checked in on Sunday February 16th expecting a 4-star standard, but we had a horror movie experience.

At 2 am, a stranger literally entered our room by unlocking the door from the outside, how is it possible?

Terrified, we got out of bed and we noticed the stranger girl was using our bathroom. It is inconceivable how she could have entered our room since the door was locked from the inside.

Once we went up to the reception to report the incident, we found a man asking the receptionist for alcohol and insisting on spending the night there.

Shortly after, the same girl who had entered the room joined him: both were strangers to the hotel, yet they were freely roaming around the premises!

We informed the receptionist of what had happened and he suggested us to either change hotel (probably one of the properties the chain owns) or change room’s keys, which we ultimately chose.

I guess the only way to open the locked door from the inside is to use a master key, especially since she had no trouble opening it at all.

Such an episode is unacceptable in any hotel, especially in a 4-star place.
Also, our room was on the lower floor and at 5 am the garbage collector made a hellish racket, but this was the least of the problems.

The next morning, no member of the staff bothered to ask us “how we were” or if there was anything they could do for us: basically, we checked out as if nothing had happened.

In fairness, I have to say the facility manager sent us an email 2 days after check out and we also got full refund.

Would recommend to anyone planning on staying in Reykjavik.

We arrived later than expected due to a cancelled flight but Erik was very helpful and welcoming on the front desk.

The breakfast was great, the room was clean and the location of the hotel was very handy. It is right next to the city centre and has a useful bus stop outside.

Overall, we had a great stay and would stay again.

The staff here are very kind and patient. Felicia and Jose were especially attentive and professional, ensuring everything went smoothly. Their friendly attitude made a great impression. I truly appreciate their excellent service.
