Everything was absolutely perfect. Better cost-benefit. The instructions you receive before and during the stay just shows how the owners are caring about their guests and the guesthouse itself has lots of ammenities.
I stayed in the single room and it was just the perfect size.
Location is impecable, really central, in front of the cathedral and bus stop number 8 (perfect for the pick-up/drop-off with FlyBus-Airport).
They use the best shampoo/condiotining/soap brand from Iceland (in my opinion) and also offer a small hair dryer. Heater in both room and bathroom.
It's way better than in the pictures so it exceed my expectations for real.
The only bad thing is: The pillow actually was a cushion so this is the only point I didn't like and I think is quite easy to solve it so just sharing it as a recommendation.

Guesthouse is generally older with few upgrades or renovations.
(+) Rooms were adequate space.
(-) 10 or more guest rooms with 2 toilets and 1 shower (from what I could gather). It could get dicey under the right circumstances.
(+) Heated towel rack.
Hairdryer in WC but no outlet.
(++) Fully equipped kitchen and cereal in the morning.
(+) Walking distance to public pool and nearly everything downtown.
(+) Check-in process was easy and communicated in advance.
(-) Shower room has small vent but it only runs while the light switch is on. Window can't be opened either. Humidity and low ventilation makes it smell like a locker room with some gym shoes.
For someone looking for a hostel vibe, this is it. If you prefer a cleaner environment, you might want to explore other options.

Perfect central location  for walking in Rekjavík.  Excellent guest house.  Basic breakfast items and shared kitchen available.

The room (#8) we got was unlivable. There was mold on the ceiling. The heater wasn't working. They have two portable ones which didn't hear the room as much. The toilet is tiny and the room smells of Sulphur. We couldn't wait to get out of there. The kitchen and other areas looked good. The people there were nice. When we complained about the heat, they got use another heater which helped with the heat issue but the Sulphur smell didn't go. The toilet sink leaked on the floor, overall very messy. They advertised on booking as they have parking - in fact they are located across the street from a parking lot - it's not free. It is misleading. Definitely want to reiterate the people were nice. We arrived early and they gave us the room much before checkin time. The location is good.
