We had a fantastic dinner with family and would highly recommend this restaurant. For the New Years celebration, they offered a fixed menu (which we usually avoid). Every course was delicious,  beautifully presented,  fresh, and accompanied by detailed description. The whole team was super friendly, patient, and truly welcoming!
Expensive? Yes. The whole experience made it worth it. Highly recommend!

I found this place while searching online. Reservations are highly recommended, although we did manage to get a table on our trip this October. What a beautiful place! The live piano music added to this incredible restaurant and the wait staff was friendly knowledgeable and attentive. We were four adults and our 16 m/o granddaughter. Dimmly lit and lively, this place earns many repeated visits. We ordered the Seafood menu, the vegetarian menu and the Tour of Iceland menu. Everything was plated superbly and so fresh and delicious.  Very highly recommend this special place with a very interesting building history! Try it. You won’t be sorry!!

The best restaurant in Reykjavik!
The first time was so great that we decided to go again!
The food is amazing the service fabulous and the live piano jazz music just makes it even better!

We love the shrimps with a delicious cream sauce and we love fish so the pan fried arctic char and the fish of the day were our choices. And yes we order the same dishes twice but I’m sure that anything on the menu will be great!

This is a restaurant you must visit if you are in Reykjavik you will not be disappointed!

We stopped in for dinner. Located in the lower level of the building right in the square downtown. A beautiful setting inside with a perfect Iceland dinner vibe. I had the spicy duck wings and she had the tuna tartar for starters. The wings were so good. Tender juicy with a spicy sweet glaze. So good. The tuna tartar was just as amazing. Cilantro and avocado with a spicy side sauce and crispy chips ..... amazing. Seriously good. For mains she had pan seared artic char which was huge and again.,..cooked perfectly. Moist and super fresh. I had the steak plank and it was killer!!!   One of the best meals I've ever eaten. Cooked to perfection. The service was just as good. An amazing experience in cooking.  I definitely recommend this place.  Check it out. Yolo!

This was the best meal we had in Reykjavik and is one of the loveliest restaurants I've been to.
Due to a mixup with bookings (my fault), we arrived an hour late for our reservation, however the staff were very friendly, and luckily there was a cancellation that meant we were able to be accommodated
There was live music playing subtly, which allowed you to enjoy your conversations and added to the ambience of the place.
