Good hotel, good location. Ok rooms. Although we had issues because we are a gay couple. The woman at the front desk changed our room type to a standard room with 2 single beds instead of the premium room with king bed. She said they didn’t have king beds. When we asked to speak to a manager, she said she was THE manager. Then pretended that we were threatening her because we insisted to talk to a director. Absolutely bonkers!!!!!

Then we had to create a new reservation on their website to prove that there were still premium king rooms available. She then reluctantly gave us a premium king.

We will never stay here or with Radisson again. We are happy to provide more information to higher management if required.

Right in the heart of Reykjavik, near shopping and lively restaurants, this hotel is beautiful
The staff were amazingly helpful when my credit card was canceled in Iceland and had to solely use cash; they were accommodating to my situation a d made sure I had access to a wonderful experience in Iceland's capital. Exceptional customer service!

Dissatisfying. Hotel is very well located. The hardware is good and the rooms are okay. Okay, Iceland is expensive - but the place is not worth the spent. Not well maintained though. Windows closing not property hence street noise, ac is very loud and the cleaning is not done well. The sheets are fantastic! The breakfast restaurant is sooooo slow. If you are there for a quick breakfast - forget it. And if you have time, even then - it takes forever! If you are lucky and get a clean table you have to wait for a filled buffet. Sorry, but never again!!! How people’s attitudes and lack of willing to manage a good service can ruin a basically very nice place…

As a loyal Radisson customer for 13+ years, I must say I was disappointed by the level of service provided. Certainly not Blu level standard. After calling reception for 30 minutes with no answer or call back, I had to go down to receive some attention. Only one person there apparently too busy to answer or call someone to help her with the task. The TV service in the room was unavailable and was never fixed despite some efforts. The third-floor room was very loud, and sometimes we felt like we were sleeping directly on the street. The only bright side of the visit was the kind and professional lady at the reception on the daily shift.

Radisson Blu 1919 - As the name suggests, I think this hotel should have been in 1919 as it is not fit to be in 2024. I had booked 2 rooms for 5 days of which one was a junior suite. They gave rooms which was actually the attic converted to rooms. The ceiling heights was so low & sloping that they should have given helmets alongwith the room. Got a lot of bumps on the head. Anyone booked into this hotel avoid the top floor (5th floor which are make shift attic rooms) unless you need to get your head hammered.
After giving a piece of mind at the reception we were given rooms in the 4th floor.
The nightmare was not over yet.
Housekeeping was pathetic. Radisson has to take its name away from this hotel or pull up its housekeeping. On one of the days the housekeeping was not done at all.
If you take the charges you have to provide the service - we don’t have to request for what we have already paid for.
One thing good was the location - full marks for the location.
Anyways I continue to stay at Radisson for the rest of my Scandinavian trip.
