This was my first Michelin star experience and it was a 10/10! Loved the food and service was exactly what I expected. Really great price for what you get. Food was DELICIOUS - I think they change the menu every month but for September the Sea Bass & Oyster tartine courses were my top two. Every person we interacted with knew exactly how to describe each dish and my boyfriend was able to get a vegetarian menu similar to the regular but altered to his eating restriction. Not many places do that, which is one big reason we picked to eat here in Ireland. I did like that the dress code wasn't FANCY, but I think maybe adding something to the website so people know what to wear would be nice. We were walking everywhere so sneakers or comfy shoes was really all I wanted to wear, but it was fine!

Our first time here and it’s was an absolute 10/10. The food was amazing, every course was better than the last. From the second we walked in the service was amazing, Aoife was our server and she was so polite and informative! She recommended a wine and it went perfectly with the whole menu. Will definitely be back!

Great experience in Dublin, for the first time a * restaurant in Ireland and my expectations were satisfied.
The service was great, the staff was welcoming, very well prepared, nice and great to explain dishes and ingredients.
All the courses were interesting, some very well executed and able to create a true tasting experience, others maybe can we a little bit worked on, but overall a great dinner.
Wine list was small, but interesting and with fine prices.

What a phenomenal experience.  I have to say this was one of the best price to quality ratio 1 Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to in Europe.  Everything was phenomenal and how it should be.  From the beautiful food visually, to the service and various tastes as well as the quality.  Staff were super attentive, great attention to detail, and the food was prepared wonderfully.  I can’t say enough good things about my experience here yesterday!

An evening at Bastible was definitely the right way to mark the changing of the seasons with a local and thoughtful menu. I look forward to returning in Winter to see what inspiration has struck the kitchen and anticipate multiple visits a year from now on.
Bastible is exactly what you’d expect from a Michelin experience: authentic interiors contributing to an atmosphere that is truly about what’s happening on the periphery of what the diners can see - the action packed kitchen. Simple table scapes in a pleasing palette with quality glassware and rustic flatware permit what’s on the plate and in the dish to shine. “Mark’s mushroom custard with ox tongue and sweetcorn” was a highlight for me.
Great to see this standard of hospitality in Ireland - can’t wait to come back!
