Lovely out of the way restaurant with warm ambiance. Service was good, food was very good and my rioja red wine was smooth. My husband got the steak which was cooked a perfect medium rare with a nice peppercorn sauce. I had the Gochujang spicy ribs which had way way too much sauce. A light glaze is all it needs and gochujang is a very strong flavor.  The sides of salad  was fresh with a light sweet sauce. The potatoes and coleslaw were all really good and tasted fresh. We had a starter with The crispy duck which was the highlight with perfect crunch texture and light flavor. There was only 2 but the portions were good. The bread they serve at the start is soft and fresh as well.

Lovely Atmosphere. Great food even better service. Gluten free options available. One of the best Double espressos I’ve had in a long time. (Proper coffee). Thank you for a lovely evening.

lovely location. Cosy restaurant.  Beautiful food 👏🏻👏🏻 The halibut was melt in the mouth. Craft beers if your choice of tipple. Would like to especially compliment the staff on the super service  very efficient & friendly.  They are on top of their game. Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Highly recommend. Sorry no food photos you need to go and be surprised.

Very disappointed Brown Bear. I used to love coming here, probs about 6 years since I’ve Been here, it was always a pure treat for the food, never a danger of not clearing a plate.
Last night not the case. Very excited to be back, 4 of us dining. I had fish cakes that were over done, flavourless and dry…. not nice then went for chicken dish… for the life of me I have no idea what it was…. The chicken was chicken… dull with a lump of charred something!!! Lettuce/ fennel not sure what it was, tasteless covered with a thick black/brown sauce that was not nice and 3 small overcooked potatoes.
The waitress seemed affronted when he asked her to let the chef know that the roasted potatoes with the steak were not a great taste.
I had a lovely evening because of the company deffo not the food though.
Sad that I had a negative experience as this was always treat heaven to me and my Mum.
I’m afraid I will be reluctant to return.

We went here for Sunday lunch. It was our first time ever and we liked it.
It was quiet when we got there but busy by the time we were leaving.
Nice menu and presentation was faultless.
I deducted one star because we both agreed that even though we had different dishes, the chef had added too much salt for our taste.
