Per raggiungere il ristorante Maeba seguite tranquillamente il segnaposto di Google Maps, la strada è in discrete condizioni ma percorribile e giunti a destinazione vi ritroverete in questa location tranquilla ed isolata, immersi nelle collinette Irpine di Ariano. Posto davvero bello.

Il ristorante è un frantoio ripreso e sistemato, la sala interna è piccola, non ci sono molte sedute pertanto reputo sia obbligatorio prenotare. Ho prenotato tramite modulo on-line ed è filato tutto per il meglio, alla perfezione senza aver avuto nemmeno la necessità di chiamare qualcuno al telefono. Servizio di prenotazione perfetto.

Chiaramente la Stella Michelin ricevuta nel 2023, supera qualsiasi mia parola o parere ma devo confessare che ho trovato il tutto estremamente straordinario.

Da un ristorante Stellato mi aspettavo un servizio ed una qualità, soprattutto nelle preparazioni, fuori dalla norma ma Maeba ha superato le mie aspettative per i seguenti motivi:
- Ovviamente le preparazioni dello Chef sono state tutte piu' che gradite, anche laddove l'ingrediente principe non fosse tra i miei preferiti, faccio l'esempio sul boccone di baccala, pur non amandolo come ingrediente, anzi tutt'altro, ho trovato la preparazione di Maeba sublime e delicata. Abbiamo fatto un percorso di 9 portate, con una bella alternanza tra carne, pesce e verdure. Tutte le preparazione erano belle e buone. Super la zucchina.
- Il servizio è stato super professionale, proprio come ci si aspetta da uno stellato, attenzione ad ogni dettaglio, quasi snervante, ma garbata e a modo.
- Abbiamo optato anche per l'abbinamento scelto da loro sui vini e qui sono rimasto ancora piu' piacevolmente sorpreso. Mi aspettavo solo i "grandi" vini della grande distribuzione ed invece siamo stati presi in contropiede con vini di una qualità artigianale ancora piu' grandiosa ed in alcuni casi di medio-piccole realtà che rappresentano il diamante delle produzioni Campane/Irpine.

Concludendo è un esperienza davvero piacevole per ricordare al meglio un occasione importante.

To reach the Maeba restaurant, calmly follow the Google Maps placemark, the road is in fair condition but passable and once you reach your destination you will find yourself in this quiet and isolated location, immersed in the Irpine hills of Ariano. Really nice place.

The restaurant is a renovated and renovated oil mill, the internal room is small, there are not many seats therefore I think it is mandatory to book. I booked via the online form and everything went smoothly, perfectly without even having to call anyone on the phone. Perfect booking service.

Clearly the Michelin Star received in 2023 surpasses any of my words or opinions but I must confess that I found everything extremely extraordinary.

From a starred restaurant I expected service and quality, especially in the preparations, that were out of the norm but Maeba exceeded my expectations for the following reasons:
- Obviously the Chef's preparations were all more than welcome, even where the main ingredient was not among my favourites, I'll take the example of the morsel of cod, although I didn't love it as an ingredient, quite the opposite in fact, I found the Sublime and delicate Maeba preparation. We had a 9-course meal, with a nice alternation between meat, fish and vegetables. All the preparations were nice and good. Super courgette.
- The service was super professional, just as you would expect from a starred restaurant, attention to every detail, almost unnerving, but polite and in a manner.
- We also opted for the pairing chosen by them on the wines and here I was even more pleasantly surprised. I was only expecting the "big" wines from large-scale retail trade and instead we were caught off guard with wines of an even greater artisanal quality and in some cases from medium-small producers which represent the diamond of Campania/Irpine production.

In conclusion, it is a truly pleasant experience to better remember an important occasion.
