Fantastic, amazing history and well maintained artworks. However needs more audio tours, air conditioning, fans and better cafeteria food.  It is HOT even in October. Bring a fan, water and cooling towels. Go outside when you can. But do not skip this museum. It is incredible.

Went on a Saturday first week of November 2024, entered at 9 am which was opening time. No line for booking tickets and entry and no crowd.
Museum is a must visit with amazing artefacts of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Spent about 3.5 hrs which allowed for leisurely look. Cafe decent. Washroom could be cleaner. Overall a must visit!

Exceptional museum. A must visit if in Naples, especially if you have been to or plan to go to Pompeii/Herculaneum/etc. The halls of marble statues are particularly impressive. Allow plenty of time to get round. I wish we had allowed for a full day visit to avoid rushing and to spend time exploring the whole museum.
