I honestly can’t understand why someone would rate this below 5 stars. The staff was friendly, patient, knowledgeable and always wearing a smile. The food was divine. The prices are extraordinary but it’s a once in a lifetime experience so who cares. Would eat there every season and try every menu if I could

While the food was excellent, I anticipated a more immersive experience akin to a 3 Michelin-star restaurant. Massimo's enthusiasm for food was evident when he visited our table, but the staff's engagement throughout the meal was lacking, which made it challenging to fully appreciate and understand the menu. The selection of wines by the glass was impressive for those who prefer not to opt for wine pairing. The room was beautifully designed, and the tableware was both elegant and charming. Overall, it was still a memorable experience.

This was disappointing - especially given the price point. The wine pairing was ok, but nothing special. There wasn’t any dish I would be writing home about. Staff were somewhat friendly, but not overly so - they didn’t seem to appreciate that coming to a restaurant of this (supposed) calibre isn’t an everyday occurrence for some people and to spend this amount of money is special. One of our waiters almost rolled his eyes when we asked him to take a picture for us.

Excellence is the conclusion to the visit. Food was incredibly, the wine list was great and the somm really helped us out. We got a tour of the kitchen which really was a highlight to see such an amazing kitchen. Loved it.

Osteria Francescana is a pilgrimage every foodie needs to make and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The amount of creativity behind the menu is absolutely incredible and the way Chef Massimo plays around with concepts shows the immense skill in the kitchen. The restaurant itself is beautiful with excellent service to match. My only slight suggestion would be to have a bit more protein in the tasting menu otherwise loved it overall.
