A perfect hotel in a perfect location. Efficient and extremely friendly staff (special thanks to Cristel and everyone at the reception for all their help). Sufficient breakfast is enjoyable and tasty. The attitude you receive from Raluca is really homelike. Once you tell her the kind of coffee or tea you prefer, you will find a cup of your choice in front of you every morning. Cleanliness of our room and shared areas is worth many thanks. Our cleaning lady (Room 404) was just perfect. Considering the building is quite old and there is not very much space, you should not expect high-tech equipment in, e.g., your bathroom. But the location, high quality service, cleanliness, sufficient breakfast and homelike atmosphere make your stay enjoyable and you enthusiastic to explore the Eternal City.

I recently stayed at Hotel Diocleziano during my trip to Rome, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. From pastries and fruit to eggs and coffee, everything was beautifully presented and of excellent quality.

The reception staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. They went above and beyond to assist with recommendations, directions, and any questions I had. Their professionalism and friendliness made a big difference.

I also want to highlight the cleanliness of the hotel. My room and the common areas were spotless and well-maintained. It was clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work.

Overall, Hotel Diocleziano provided a perfect base for exploring Rome, with its central location and exceptional service. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

We spent 8 nights at Hotel Diocleziano and had a wonderful stay.

The hotel is centrally located near Rome’s city center, with many bus lines nearby and convenient connections to the airport via Rome Termini.

Our room was very comfortable, featuring a large bed, strong WiFi, and a quiet atmosphere - even with the windows open. The bathroom was spacious and well-designed (unlike the small ones we’ve encountered in other hotels).

Breakfast was excellent, served in a welcoming and uncrowded dining area. On our last day, we had an early checkout, and the staff kindly provided a food bag for us.

The reception team always greeted us with a smile, making our stay even more pleasant.

Bottom line: highly recommended!

Excellent hotel - extremely convenient to Termini train station and very easily walkable to many sites. The highlight of our stay was Leonardo at the front desk. Not only did he help get us into our room before the 2pm check in time, he took about 15 minutes to give us suggestions on restaurants, neighborhoods, and attractions (especially those to skip due to construction). The hotel also offers to store your luggage before/after checkout which was incredibly helpful when we squeezed in an extra hour of sightseeing. Luggage was securely stored in a locked cabinet, giving us peace of mind whilst enjoying what the city has to offer.

The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Oversized bath towels and good quality bathroom products were a nice plus.

Ideally, this is a 4.5 star hotel. The service, from the front desk to the housekeeping to the breakfast staff are all really great. The breakfast itself is open later than most hotels - which is extremely appreciated when you're on vacation.

Minor inconveniences, if you show up during the last 30-45 minutes of the breakfast hour, they don't really refill some stuff, and don't take your drink orders. We didn't stay later than the breakfast timeslot, either.

Another minor inconvenience is that they only have one small elevator.
