Hands down besttt Japanese restaurant I've tried!!
Kohaku is immaculate and exceptional! The service is handled with great care and attention to details. The interior is very nice from the wooden table and comfortable chair. Tablewear gives high-end Japanese ceramics.
The food is delicious and so fresh.
Highly recommend trying the Wagu beef Nigri. The beef is high-quality and melts in your mouth.

My friend took me there, and I love the exterior of this restaurant—nothing bold or fancy, very discreet. Once inside, you find a spacious area. The entire place embodies Japanese style—neat, orderly, low-key, and high-quality. The food is very tasty, even the vegetarian sushi; the fish is fresh. The plum wine is delightful and soothing, perfect for a hot summer day like today. I also appreciate the Aesop products in their restroom and the little flower on the table, really reminds me of Ikebana 生け花.

This meets the Melbourne standard - authentic, beautiful decor (a welcome respite from hot Roman weather), top quality produce and kind staff.

A genuine 5/5 (too many Roman restaurants have received overly generous reviews).

Walking steps from our hotel and exploring the local area, we stumbled upon Kohaku

They say chance encounters are the best and this could not have been better

Kohaku is a traditional Japanese restaurant specializing in Kaiseki cuisine and is actually Rome’s very first Kaiseki restaurant and is listed in the Michelin Guide

The interior is serene and calm and while we were not able to partake in the traditional kaiseki menu (advanced reservations only), we found a delightful menu of sushi, sashimi, and elevated cooked cuisine

As a unique restaurant in a land of excellent cuisine, Kohaku was exactly what we needed and we couldn’t be happier
