We came here for a week on honeymoon. It's a wonderful, romantic location, with great views over the Levanto valley.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us with many small details that made our stay magical.

The breakfast is excellent. We also did the 3 course dinner one night and it was very good.

Note that this place is up in the hills with a great view and some distance from the crowds of Cinque Terre but that means it is a bit harder to get around. There is a bus down to Levanto during the week. We tried walking down one day, it takes a little over 1.5 hours. Otherwise you're calling cabs to go to Monterosso.

Remarkable. This boutique hotel just outside of the Cinque Terre is the perfect retreat from the bustling coastal towns to enjoy relaxation and quiet in between activities. With lush rooms, dynamite views, and service that is truly some of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel, it’s easy to see why La Sosta has a Michelin Star. This hotel is perfect for couples visiting Cinque Terre who are looking for something more personable. In addition, it’s a short drive to the Levanto train station where you can purchase passes to access the entire park. Top to bottom terrific and I can guarantee I’ll stay here when I return to the area.

In the order of ranking
1. The location and view- its a bit of drive through windy and narrow road up and down the hills for us, but the view was worth it. We came for aperitif at sunset and it was beautiful.

2. Food — amazing. We have the discovery menu with 5 courses. The anchovies/sardines were the best I had. The rabbit was delicious. And the salty olive oil ice-cream with pine nuts was amazing and creative.

3. Drinks - almost every wine is available by glass and the cocktails menu has an innovative selection.

It’s off the beaten path and worth the trip.

We have greatly enjoyed our stay at La Sosta. It’s a real gem off the beaten track! Magnificent views, inventive organic cuisine, good choice of local wines and the remarkable hospitality of Angela who was giving her guests more than they expected!
It was our second time at this boutique hotel and there is no doubt there will be the third!
