The hotel is a beautiful building in a beautiful setting.
Unfortunately service let them down. We booked 6 months prior but on arrival were told “the system lost the booking” hence instead of a group of 6 staying in 2 rooms, we were given the only remaining option, a suite with one less bed and one less bathroom but told not to worry, we wouldn’t be charged the incremental amount for the suite.
Service around the pool not particularly forthcoming, however lovely setting, food etc just watch out regarding booking system issues.

We got married at Villa Arcadio this year and I have to say it was easily the best day of my life. Not only is the location absolutely stunning but every single staff member was incredible. We had the pleasure of having the whole place to ourselves for our friends and family to enjoy and everyone was blown away by the experience. The food, the service, the attention to detail and care everyone puts in was unlike anything. To Giulia, and Camilla - I can't thank you enough for making the whole experience so seamless. Our day was more perfect than we could've imagined and we wouldn't have been able to do it without you! From start to finish everything and everyone was wonderful.

We recently got married at Villa Arcadio and had the time of our lives - it actually was the best day of our life!! We had the hotel booked out exclusively for our wedding guests and OMG, what an experience. Our guests were in absolute awe, and how could you not be. The grounds/gardens, views, rooms, pool, food, coffee and cocktails were all incredible. We had 70 guests at our wedding, and everyone complimented the food, drinks and service across all 3 days of our celebration. Credit to the chefs,  bar staff, waiters and waitresses that looked after us all so so well, we can't thank you enough. You were all amazing and went above and beyond. Memories we and all of our guests will cherish forever!

The level of service was a big highlight for us. Giulia, Aki, Camilla and team. You guys are the absolute best. It is hard to put into words the gratitude we have for you all. We planned our destination wedding all the way from Australia and we recognise and appreciate the great lengths you went to in order to make our stay extra special. No ask was too big and the things we had planned were better than we could have ever imagined! Special mention to Giulia for going the extra mile not only on our wedding day, which ran seamlessly, but across our whole stay. You’re so bubbly and a joy to be around! If you decide to come back to Australia, please make sure to get in touch, otherwise we look forward to seeing you when we return to celebrate an anniversary in the future.

Staying at Villa Arcadio was like stepping back in time. Once a monastery, this beautiful retreat now offers a peaceful haven surrounded by lush gardens where olives, pomegranates, basil, and mint thrive in the fresh Italian air. 🌸✨

My room was a dream—so comfortable, with breathtaking views that made every moment feel magical. It was the perfect place to rest, recharge, and reconnect with myself. 🌿💆‍♀️

I have mixed feelings about our stay and think it’s closer to a 3 star experience. Overall, I think the hotel is beautiful and unique as a restored monastery… but didn’t love the level of hospitality or location. I would choose to stay elsewhere if I returned to Lake Garda.

Highlights
1. Hotel provided a list of suggested activities and restaurants over email the week prior to our arrival - a thoughtful and helpful touch.
2. Beautiful pool overlooking Lake Garda.
3. Visually well curated and well kept.

Considerations
1. Hospitality was very hit or miss, in some cases unprofessional and unfriendly.
2. Building off of hospitality, other little things missed what I would expect - no open pool chairs available two of the days we were there, would have to hunt for pool towels, no guest umbrellas on a rainy day, no bell hop/luggage service.
3. Not realistically within walking distance of Salò. While location was secluded and many could prefer that, we personally didn’t love that you had to drive to go to anywhere as parking was always tough! Next trip, we would prefer to stay closer to a town.
4. Heads up there isn’t anything to do at the hotel besides the pool! I missed having a tennis court, complementary bikes, a bar open in the evenings after dinner, etc.
5. An additional heads up that there were lots of kids at the pool during our stay taking away from the relaxing vibe we were looking for.
6. We chose to join for their Monday night Spadio barbecue dinner- I felt like I was on a cruise ship, food was average at best and service was poor and slow.
