My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Olmi, Firenze and I must say, it exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we had several great night's sleep.

The hotel itself is stunning, with a beautiful lobby, great sitting places to relax and enjoy the beautiful flowers and listen to the birds. The fitness center was also fantastic and I enjoyed using them during my stay.

The location of the hotel was perfect, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and attractions if you enjoy walking. We also appreciated the convenience of the taxi service that was available for a cost of course, which made getting around the city a breeze. The shuttle service provided was not used as it did not work with our schedule.

Overall, I cannot recommend Villa Olmi, Firenze enough. The level of service, attention to detail, and overall experience was truly outstanding. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a hotel that is away from the craziness of Firenze.

Not far from the old city of Florence.  Short ride by cab.  30 minutes to airport.  Wonderful accomodations.  Beautiful gardens, even in off season.

We enjoyed their food.  The morning breakfast buffet was a great start to our day.

Staff was very accommodating when our flights were cancelled.  Overall a great experience.

We had a lovely 2-night stay with several friends a couple of weeks ago. I have struggled over whether to give it 4 or 5 stars and feel that our stay had too many little imperfections to rate it a 5.

THE ROOMS: While the accommodations were beautiful and comfortable, we originally had a small room in the "classic" category and could hear our neighbor very clearly through the thin walls. The front desk offered to move us out to the farmhouse (which is next to the road) or she could move us to a room near the pool for 30 euros more per night! In the end, she was able to find us another room in the main hotel for the same price, but this took a second visit to the front desk. The new room was larger, quiet,  and had a view of the villa building. Our bathroom was small (needed to close the door to access the toilet/ bidet) but had a jetted bathtub. One of our friends had a separate shower and bathtub in their room, so be sure to make a request if getting into a tall tub is of concern.

We and our friends were disappointed that the A/C had been turned off for the season and if you opened the windows for relief from the heat, insects would fly into the room.

BREAKFAST: We purchased breakfast, and I'm glad we did because there are no other options nearby; however, it was not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel and the quality of the pastries, etc., seem to be set up for the tourist buses that come through on land tours. There was also a surly gentleman working breakfast on our second day who seemed to be having an "off" morning and soured our experience. No "Good morning", he just popped over to our table and asked what room we were in. I told him and said that we had purchased breakfast, which seemed to agitate him and he gave me a scowling face each time he walked past our table.

THE GROUNDS AND PUBLIC SPACES: 5-stars for the property. It is worth taking some time to walk around and explore. There are little quiet spots, statuary, manicured Italian ornamental gardens, as well as olive trees and various vegetation to admire.  Inside the main hotel building you'll find many curated items that have been collected over the years and the lobby spaces are light and airy, quite a joy to sit in and relax.

THE SHUTTLE/GETTING INTO TOWN: At one time the shuttle was free and took guests into the center of Florence, but no longer. It now costs 2.50 euros each way and only takes you to their sister hotel which is still on the outskirts of the center and nowhere near where anyone would want to go. I believe it also still only runs seasonally, so you'll want to check if you are there in the colder months of the year. We ended up taking the 23B public bus (the hotel will sell you bus tickets at the front desk). Like most Italian public buses, this line did not run on time and was sporadic, so be sure to allow extra time to get to and from. 23B will let you off in the center just a few blocks from the Uffizio Galleries. On the day of our departure, we elected to take an Uber with our luggage and spent under 30 euros to go from the villa to our next hotel, which was in the center of Florence.

All-in-all, the villa is great if you want a spot to plant yourself to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet, but we would not choose to stay here again on our next visit to Florence.

Villa Olmi is a lovely hotel, the grounds themselves are stunning and it truly is a good getaway from the hustle of Florence city centre.

As others have mentioned the shuttle into the city is pointless, we resorted to cabs between the group of us as we’d actually reach where we needed to be.

Service was poor unfortunately, in general and for what you’d expect from such a hotel. The service charge did add insult to injury as every interaction with a member of the bar / restaurant required a follow up interaction to get anything done.

Good aspects are the pool area and overall grounds, beautiful to say the least. The food we had at the restaurant itself was good and the rooms were lovely.

A beautiful hotel... To avoid.

Once you enter the hotel you feel it's a historical place however you're not greeted with anyone at the door to help with bags until you're at the check in desk, clearly not 4 star level.
Room is beautiful and shower is top quality but again you're let down by the service it's not even 3 star level. You'll be charged 9 euro if you ask for an empty glass of wine to be delivered I haven't seen this before.
Particularly one staff at the restaurant was mean and not friendly at all, I informed him my wife's glass had stains and he wasn't happy that I mentioned it. The staff especially at restaurant make you feel like you're staying there for free and they're giving you a favor.
I've been in many 4 star even 3 star hotels and the staff are sharp and trained for the job, not in this hotel unfortunately.
It has the potential to be a top class hotel but the staff/service is way below the level.
