Very nice and peaceful hotel, staff were attentive, rooms were clean. The spa was clean and private and a treat after a day out.

The highlight for me was the breakfast, had great variety and good way to start the day. Breakfast cafe also faces the river!

The views from the room was amazing, we watched the sunset most days. Pool is nice but not heated- probably more suited to warmer days.

Only thing is that it’s quite far from the city centre. You can book shuttle bus or walk to closest bus stop (15-20 min walk) or rent a bike using apps.
It didn’t bother us as we liked the peace.

Hotel is aboustley beautiful!  We had a room with a view of the river with an outside sitting area .  The restaurant is very good!  They have a wonderful breakfast buffet  and their dinners were delicious as well!  All the staff is super friendly and very helpful! Highly recommend!

It is in a beautiful  location but across the river from where everything  in Florence is happing. They offer a shuttle but it drops you off somewhere back across the river where you still have to walk a mile to get into Florence center. So we took a taxi instead but it's hard to find a taxi to take you back to the hotel. With that said though,  the Mulino is amazing , romantic, historical , memorable and down right magical! We stayed 5 nights and loved our entire experience. The staff are fantastic as is the food!! The pool was chilly but felt amazing after a hot day sightseeing  in Florence. The grounds are lovely and the historic charm is everywhere  you look. Hope we are lucky enough to stay here again  one day!  Amazing stay!

Hotel Mulino di Firenze is a nice accommodation just outside Florence. We stayed for several nights as a couple. Here's what we liked and what we didn't like:

We liked:
- The staff were exceptionally friendly, whether at the reception desk, in the restaurant or elsewhere.
- the atmosphere of the hotel was nice and tasteful
- Parking was very convenient across the street in a secure garage and free.
- The spa could be reserved for intimate private use.
- The shuttle service was very reliable and convenient and would get you into town quickly.
- The in-room jacuzzi was great, and in general the bathrooms and amenities were very nice.

What could be improved:

- We had a room facing the street and although it was a small one-way street, it was incredibly busy and noisy, even at night. Cars and scooters were constantly speeding down the street with loud acceleration noises. It was impossible to sleep with the windows open and even with the windows closed I had to use earplugs because it was so loud. We were hoping for a quiet getaway away from the busy city but it was anything but quiet.
- We booked a queen size bed but it was two separate mattresses with a single duvet, so there was a crack in the middle of the mattress, which was also super unromantic.
- We emailed about the price and times for the shuttle in advance and only got a reply about the times, not the price. When we booked the shuttle no one told us about any cost either so we supposed it’s free of charge. It was only when we paid that we found out there was a charge. But it is still very cheap (2.5€ per person per trip) and the most convenient way to get into the city - would just appreciate some transparency about cost on the website or during check-in.
- We found the breakfast options to be very poor for a four star superior hotel. Especially as vegetarians looking for healthy (low sugar & low carb) options, there was very little to choose from. Egg dishes could be ordered, but at an extra cost of 5€ per dish, which we found sad considering we were already paying extra for a breakfast rate.
- The spa area is not really cosy. It is cold in the basement, there is no place to lie down and relax in between going to the sauna and the steam room smells mouldy and there is already visible mould above the door.

Of course, this is complaining at a high level, but it is a 4-star S hotel outside the city and must therefore be compared with high hotel standards. We often didn't have the aforementioned dislikes with cheaper hotels.

We had nice 2-day stay at this historical hotel. The staff was nice and helpful. Room was large and clean. We liked the shuttle service.

Taking 1 star away for the restaurants and the service, which is not at 4* level. Omellete and eggs were not offered at breakfast. There was no fish. Vegetables were so sad it should be a crime i  Tuscany. At dinner we had a very well cooked steak and awesome desserts. But my glass wine remained empty after the first one, we had to fight for the waiter’s attention. Some tables had olive oil others didn’t. Perhaps worth checking if the restaurant manager is paying enough attention to their job.

My family and I stayed here on our recent trip to Florence and had a great experience. The front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The family suite was perfect for our family of 4 and the hotel itself and the rooms were really charming. It's a short drive to the city yes, but just far enough away to give you space to relax after touring. In addition, we ate dinner at their restaurant and it was the best meal we had in Florence. We highly recommend this hotel.

Guys, this hotel is awesome. It's just far enough from the city where it feels like you are in a countryside, but it's just a 5 minute ride from the city. Rooms were very charming and they had an amazing breakfast with very friendly staff. I would love to stay here again. Wifi was good, parking right across the entrance and a beautiful view out of every window! Great hotel! Stay here, you will love it.

Some reviews on other platforms stated that you should avoid eating here. I dare you: you absolutely should dine here! The Grana d'oro was a pleasant surprise. If you stay here it is so comfortable to dine at the same place as where you fall asleep. But here it's not only convenient it's also a delicious and smart decision. We were very happy with all the meals we had and the staff was polite and helpful. The lamb chops were perfect and the beef filet was juicy and a joy to eat. Adding to the flavours from the kitchen you should try to imagine that romantic atmosphere of sunset, a river, glimmering lights and an old mill. Barry White lives on a cloud just above this place and sings his lullabies to you. The pool is very special with the river nearby and that mill standing there. They conserved some parts of the mill and exhibit it covered with glass. The symbiosis of conservation of the ancient and remodelling due to comfort is a success. Breakfast on the terrace with a view of the river was a wonderful way to start the day.

We were in Florence for a friends wedding and stayed at the Mulino di Firenze for 2 days. The hotel is nestled on the edge of town next to the River Arno, makes for a very relaxing activity; sitting and listening to the river go by while sipping your wine. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Restaurant Grano d'Oro, wonderful menu. We really felt like we had our first real Italian meal of the trip there. I had a massage at the spa, I'm used to dimly lit massage rooms, this one is quite bright with the natural light that comes in. If you don't mind that the masseuse was excellent. Really a great stay and truly a Florence experience.

Excellent hotel! Staff is extremely helpful & friendly. The food was delicious. Rooms are very clean. You can really enjoy a walk to Florence that takes only about 45 minutes along the Arno River. Would stay here again anytime!

Gorgeous Hotel, I mean, GORGEOUS. There is not a detail overlooked. Our room was overlooking the moat with the fountain out back and it was really pretty. It felt as though you were staying in a castle from 100 years ago, but with central air, which was great! The only bad thing I can say is, BEWARE....They do not have an iron. So if you have wrinkled clothes from traveling they will offer to press them for you. But it comes with a hefty price. about 8 euro a shirt, and I heard dresses are like 15 euro. Not to be clean, but pressed only. We figured this out after the first day when we got a 33 euro bill for a few items so we hung our clothes in the bathroom while we showered for the rest of our stay. It apparently is a common thing in Italy, I just wish I had known so i could have packed a travel steamer. But other than that the staff was lovely, the hotel is very quiet and comfortable and most importantly gorgeous. Only other thing is, its about 25 euros into town via cab. theres a shuttle if you don't mind coming back by 7pm.
