Came here for my 30th birthday and it was a real treat. The staff were so friendly and attentive to all our needed. Pool was refreshing and there was always space on the loungers with fresh towels daily (or you could swap them earlier if needed). Drinks were tasty and very prompt from the reef deck, by the pool, or at the bar. Pianist played daily in the evening for evening drinks which was a nice touch. Rented a double kayak and explored the very calm seas. The breakfast buffet was brilliant even for a vegetarian which isn’t normally the case. The room was very quiet and housekeeping did a brilliant behind the scene job.

This hotel is beautiful. The location on the water with access to the reef club is amazing. The attention to detail, and the friendly staff are wonderful. Room is a little small but that’s what I expect in Europe. But our room was updated and very clean and high tech.

We walked into town at night for dinner. Uphill walk about 20-25 minutes but we enjoyed it. A taxi would only take 5-10 minutes and cost €12. It’s nice to have access to the reef club which feels secluded and private compared to the business of town

This is a very nice luxury resort.Great rooms, great service, wonderful amenities. Great breakfast, good restaurant. Beautiful property and quite a lot of acreage. Walked into town during the day & used taxis to get to & from town for dinner. Shared a couple with other guests. Very good experience. I could spend a week here.

The dream Sicilian couples retreat. We stayed at the very start of the season this year when the hotel had just opened. It was a treat for my birthday and the team very kindly upgraded us to an incredible room and that's a level of kindness I'll remember about the Calette. The hospitality was so incredible. A very tall gentleman who at the time had just started there really stood out for professionalism.

The moment you arrive you're treated to a welcome beverage then welcomed to the room. The upgrade suite was unreal. Really beautiful, extremely comfortable - one of the more comfortable beds I've experienced in my life - and a superb two sink his and hers bathroom.

The food at the hotel was lovely and we really enjoyed the breakfasts.

The stars of the show were the grounds and the pool area. The hotel is set in a really beautiful estate with lovely gardens with a lagoon effect pool. I adored relaxing here.

Please note that because it was right at the start of the season, the beach club had not opened yet. While it would have been too cold to go in the sea, I would have loved to relax on the lounge chairs by the rocky beach. I long to go back another time and experience the full hotel grounds. Please note that this minor start of season limitation came with a very, very generous start of season price tag - quite the saving compared to when the full hotel is in operation. There was still plenty of space to lounge and relax at the pool area. This is just fyi for other customers - if the beach club is a must for you, pay higher rates in season and go later, or perhaps see if it's open at the very end of the season.

Location wise yes it's a 15-30 min walk to Cefalu depending on which side you wish you visit, but taxis are reasonable here and the entire point is that this place is a removed feeling peaceful retreat. Personally, I enjoyed the walks to the town and I really miss walking along by the sea.

Wonderful hotel. Has its own private beach club; modernized yet traditional Sicilian at the same time; great breakfast spread with a view. We had dinner at Cala Luna and it was fabulous - Michelin star quality. We also had lunch/ dinner at the more casual Reef club which was fantastic. The rooms are not huge but they are wonderful nonetheless. 20 minute walk to town. I would definitely come back.
