This exquisite Restaurant is a hidden treasure in the town of Montemerano- worth the special travel to the somewhat remote location.
The food is produced from ingredients that come from the family’s produce and the availability from seasonal vegetables. The Restaurant is very homey in style and very comfortable.
Service was incredible and we got everything explained by the chef’s son who was helpful also with the wine list.
The food is a very sophisticated take off of classic Pasta dishes and some amazing inventive ideas that are tasty and make you wonder..

An evening of surprises, all positive. The approachability and creativeness of the menu, the outstanding wine list (with very reasonable prices), the graceful service, and the wonderful setting. Most impressive that the hostess has been here for over half a century, there must be something magical in the water… most certainly worth a visit.

Nota bene … several reviews confuse the simpler “Giardino” with the 2 Michelin star restaurant “Caino”. This review is for the latter, which has tasting menus from ca. €200.

We stumbled upon this pretty little restaurant, and asked if they had a table for two. We were greeted and treated by wonderful staff to a delicious meal, with a god bottle of wine, Who cared and catered to ALL our needs. My only comment would be, don’t arrive feeling hungry, as with all gourmet restaurants the portions are small to say the least. I say this as one who owned a successful restaurant in the western Galilee.
Maybe it’s not fare to judge and compare, but one reason to eat in a restaurant is to feed not only the soul, which they did to a tee, but to fill one’s belly.
I raise my glass to your airs and class, but please don’t hold back on filling the plate.

A wonderfull and cosy place. The food is succulent, authentic and emotional. The wine list is huge with prices that ok for such a location. The staff is not invasive and very professional. A favorite. Thank you!

They have a cozy terrace, the vibe was nice and the staff was friendly - found us a place even on a Friday evening when everything was booked. The food is good, I had a tuna with zucchini. The one thing is that the portions should be bigger (or the price - lower).
