It was a great experience. The food was special and original. The pairing with drinks (wine and kambucha) was done very well. We had full and great service as hoped for in this small place. We would absolutely recommend the restaurant.

Caught our attention as it claims to serve traditional and local food without too many amendments. My girlfriend is pregnant so they've done of course some modifications to the tasting menu. At the time that I got the beef tartare, which was something really worthy to try as I love fennel seeds, she got a raw diced beetroot with vinegar. I think there could have been some more fun in it. Unfortunately, for personal taste, we didn't appreciate that much every single dish, which is normal. The thing is that no one seemed to care about it.  No one asked us why we were leaving whole portions of food untouched. Professional staff but lacked in customer care.

A superb culinary experience, something which you can not so easily find even among the top-rated restaurants, relating to the common demand and expectation. Octavin offers a super sophisticated journey through the smells, flavours, and colours of Italy, with a particular focus on the culture of Tuscany, between tradition and innovation, certainty and experiment, research on the past and overview of the future. Octavin is definitely not a place for anyone (even because of the small-sized room, which guarantees a strictly selected and quiet environment where each customer can receive the most exclusive care and attention) not at least for those who simply would like to eat "good and tasty". Octavin is more like an out of common experience, some special gift that once in your life you want to make to yourself. The team, the presentation, the food and wines, are something you don't want to enjoy when you are in a hurry, when you feel distracted, or when you are simply "hungry." Octavin needs attention, like an unknown road you are riding on, to a place where you've never been.

This restaurant looked very promising. We expected Toscan kitchen with a modern flair. We were the only one there (I should not have avoided that sign). The food was so bad!!! Only one course was actually edible. We were 3. Not only did we end up paying for nothing, we lost a night out in our short vacation. Simply BAD!!!
