The view from the restaurant is beautiful, really captures being in tuscany - overlooking vineyards, farm land, and an old Piaggio. The food was tasty, the olive oil was delicious and some of the best I've had, the local beer selection is great. However, the wild boar was overcooked in my pasta. Flavour was nice however the meat itself was a bit dry. The waiters barely speak English, however somehow you make your way through the order - not an issue just a note for people looking to go, you are in italy after all.

We had an amazing dinner at Villa di sotto.
Paola and Sauro were very kind and friendly hosts. The florentine steak was one of the best we ever had in Tuscany. The cacio e pepe and the ravioli were also very good. Definitely we will come back on our next visit, grazie mille!

We really enjoyed the food here (especially the fettuccine with boar, linguini with truffle, mixed bruschetta, sausages). The tiramisu and truffle ice cream were both okay, tasted good but not memorable.

The service was mostly okay, however there were a few mishaps. Although there were many free tables by the window, we were not able to use those tables (they stayed empty the whole evening), and we had to wait quite awhile for service and had trouble getting attention even if the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, and we also noticed the olive oil on the table had an expiry date from the previous year (it’s possible they’re just refilling them with fresh olive oil, however with the spotty service, we didn’t get confirmation)

Attached to Villa di Sotto bed and breakfast, this restaurant is amazing. We've been here two nights in a row (including tonight's special night with wood fired pizza and love music) and this place has everything you need. The pasta is amazing and they have a 10 page selection of bottles of chianti from the area. Can not recommend this place enough, and also Giulia is an absolute angel from heaven.

We stumbled across this place driving around chianti and looking for highly rated restaurants. What a find, we had anchovies, artichoke flan with liver sauce and cacio e Pepe. All were absolutely delicious, as was the olive oil which they sell. The lovely family serving us were so friendly, very impressed with the quality on a random weekday lunch time. Their accomodation also looked lovely so we’d love to stay should we return to the area
