maybe a nice 3 star or a regular 4 star hotel. But definitely not a 5 star. We spent one night in late March and this was our first time in Florence! So, don't have a good reference of other hotels.
But, definitely not worth it ~ $400/night.
The staff were nice and friendly specially Gaja who gave us wonderful recommendations. However, the room was too small and hot bc the AC was broken and we couldn't sleep the whole night. They finally changed our room to a different room around 3 am which was nice but the other room was the same. I guess their whole AC system was not ready for warmer days. Overall, not a bad hotel. But, we didn't sleep well.
They offer free breakfast which was great but as the other reviews say, they were super slow!

I had an excellent stay at Floren Luxury Hotel in Florence! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making sure all my needs were met. The rooms were spacious and beautifully designed, offering a true sense of luxury. The location is fantastic—within walking distance of the market, delicious restaurants, cozy coffee shops, and great shopping areas. It’s also close to all the major attractions and just a short walk from the train station, making it easy to explore the city. The value for the price is unbeatable for a hotel of this caliber. Highly recommend!

Travelling from Florence airport, The Floren is a tram ride away, door to door in 25 minutes, which is perfect location for its convenience. The hotel can be found on a busy street and is walking distance to all the sites of interest. The front desk staff were excellent. Informative, helpful and so polite. The rooms were clean and well kept although I did expect the room to have been bigger and ideally would have liked a bathtub but it didn’t deter the fact that the room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The inclusive breakfast was a very nice touch. The food was excellent and the staff were again superb. A great way to start the day! The Floren is a good all rounder of a hotel and I would recommend it, however, “luxury” might be an overkill and I personally didn’t feel like it was.

First time there.  Highly recommend to others.  Top notch staff and restaurant servers. Friendly and English speaking. Immaculate rooms with beautiful marble bathrooms. Easy 1 & 1/2 block walk from train Station...a big bonus!

The hotel combines boutique charm with five-star sophistication in a prime location near Florence’s landmarks. Service was exemplary, from the attentive reception team to the outstanding breakfast featuring authentic Tuscan flavors.

Special thanks to the Housekeeping team for their impeccable work and to Sara, Ludovico, and Fredric, whose professionalism and support made my stay unforgettable. These individuals are true Renaissance people of Europe—highly cultured, fluent in at least three languages, and embodying freedom, individuality, and sophistication. They cannot be subjected to the dehumanizing attitudes seen elsewhere. For this reason, negative comments on platforms like Google, TripAdvisor, or Booking, often written by visitors from regions such as the Middle East or Russia, are unacceptable. These individuals are not servants or slaves; they are free-spirited, educated professionals who excel in their work. Italian fashion and culture, rooted in the Renaissance, celebrate creativity and personal freedom, and these staff members reflect those very values.
