We visited Gusta Osteria on the recommendation of a friend who had recently visited Firenze.

We ordered the wild boar pasta and 600g Florentine steak. Both were delicious and reasonably priced.

The restaurant felt more local than some spots across the river.

Great italian restaurant with warm atmosphere. Service was personal and made us feel very welcomed. We had prociutto with burrata and papprdelle with wild boar. The quality of ingredients was very good and we had the perfectly deep italian taste profile from our dishes. Highly recommend this restaurant if you like to have nice local dinner out of the crowds!

The owner Mauricio immediately greeted us and found a perfect table. We had the octopus ragu with twisted pasta and a special Bream fish prepared meditarranean style that were each outstanding! Overall service was excellent and he even sent my Mom home with an early Christmas present:-) that made her day. Treat people the way you want to be treated and life is a sincere pleasure! Will definitely go back.

Bam. Our final night in Florence and we hit a jackpot. Excellent food, service, and value.  Head here next time you’re in Florence in Santo Spirito district.

Given that we were attempting to find somewhere to eat on a Sunday, we knew it would be busy with most traditional style restaurants being closed on a Sunday. We arrived around 9pm, waited for about 15-20mins for a table. We were given a table inside and the table was really sticky and our arms just stuck to it, not really what you want when your hot 🥵 from 30 degrees evening temperatures. We waited 10 minutes after sitting down for some place mat sheets to be put down and to be given some menus. After taking 5 minutes to choose. We sat looking and trying to get the attention of the waiter/waitress' for about 15 mins to order. We ordered the pici di cacio e pepe (cheesy style pasta) which came out barely warm which affected the taste and texture of the dish. We also ordered the pasta with wild boar, this dish was at the right temperature, and the meat was good. After finishing our meals we asked for another bottle of water to go alongside our bottle of house white, which didn't arrive. We were given dessert menu however we thought it best to just finish our wine.
